Ben - I Was Coming For You Locke |
|
Ok, I have been wondering about this for a while now. Cant remember what ep it was in, but I remember Ben saying to Locke "I was on my way here for you Locke" or something like that at the end on season 2.
But if this is true, why wasnt his name on the list with Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley?
Why did Ben actually get caught? Theres no way he could of accidently gotten himself captured by Danielle. He was probably just lying, to confuse him or something. I have no idea, just thought i'd bring this up.

I think it was just a way to manipulate him, and maybe convince Locke to let him go - now we know about the tumour we know that if anything he came for Jack, not Locke - he probably thought he could get him in his power if he convinced him that he was special, that it had happened for a reason ,I think ben can read people pretty well and therefore tap into what is going on in their heads.
I'd like to know what other poeple think though, it could be good to get a debate going on this

i think that ben was trying to convince locke that he is a good guy and not a bad guy ....because ben could have easily hurt or possibly even taken locke when he was trapped under that door.
another question that comes to mind is if ben actually really wanted to take locke back to othersville what would they need locke for???

that is a good question, as they don't need his hunting skills, since they have contact with the outside world and their own ways of getting food, and they seem perfectly capable of tracking as well...I wonder what else Locke is good at - unless they know what he used to be in a wheelchair, and want to experiment on him? Find out why he is able to walk again?
I don't think he was accidently captured, he's just way too clever for that, he had another agenda but it may have been part of his plan to get Jack to feel sorry for him, or care about him, so that he would operate.
Interesting too that the island has healed Rose's cancer, and Locke's spine, but Ben has spinal cancer...what does that say about the healing power of the island, and about Ben?

Ooo! I forgot about the islands healing powers! Bit strange how it hasn't healed him!
Maybe its soemthing to do with the fact that he has been on the island all his life? Dont know how that would work tho....
Or maybe its because he's on the other island?
We'll have to wait and see!
P.S - This is the sites 6666th post!

cool, I noticed that was coming up earlier, but then forgot about it!
I don't think it's because he's on the other island, as I think their village place is on the main one, and he woudl have been there most of the time. It's a strange one - maybe it has to do with the "good guys" vs the bad guys, but Ben isn't the one he thinks? Maybe it's the island itself that decides who gets cured, or the monster, and Ben isn't liked? Then again, I suppose if it was the monster it would probabyl just crush him like a bug, rather than let him die of cancer...have to wait and see like you said!
