Exactly! Hedwig was cool! And poor Dobby! Yeah I heard about him coming back....I dunno, sounded a bit cheesy to me....but I haven't read it....What about Snape? I like him!

Sorry to interrupt your Potter convo but hasn't anybody ever died before in one of her books?! I always wondered what the big fuss was about, people saying 'somebody's gonna die' like it's a shocker! Death rates in my stories are pretty damn high!

Well yeah, a few major characters have died before (and death is often actually a theme of my own stories so I know what you mean, I like killing off characters soemtimes) but...it would have been a better ending if harry had died I think....because he's the main hero (supposedly, though I always liked Ron and Hermione better to be honest)
Damnit, Snape! I really liked him, he probably had the most depth of all the characters!

So did everyone hear about Jk Rowling deciding to announce that Dumbledore is gay? I got the feeling she was trying to be controversial to get herself back in the papers...I tend to be cynical though!

Yeah I thought that was odd... why would she need to do that? Why not let readers draw their own conclusions?! It didn't have any bearing on the story either....

No, it really didn't, that's why I thought she was just publicity hunting. Most of the time people don't really speculate on the sexuality of older characters anyway (maybe that's ageist?) , I don't get any relevance from it.

No , I didn't think it was relevant at all. It's got no bearing on the story and I think , as you say it was just a cynical move to keep the books in the headlines (although I'm guessing by now she doesn't need the cash either....)

She doesn't need it but greed seems to take people over...for someone who goes on and on about how she was a poor single mother making a cup of coffee last a whole writing day she seems to have acclimatised very easily to being rich

I didn't understand that ... hasn't she had enough headlines already?!
