Naomi...Other?? Or something else?

Ok i'm dropping some of my vast un-knowledge here. Very Happy

After some talks with other Lost fans i've found that i'm becoming interested in what Naomi is all about.
Since she landed I have had trouble believing that she was there for Desmond, and also there on behalf of Penny. I would venture to say that we learned already that Penny would show up herself if she knew where he was. She showed up at the track right?
NOW....with regards to Naomi. If she crashed in her helicopter, and she was working with people on a vessel. Wouldn't that mean that she was in communication before and during the crash? Next. Why did she crash? She never really said. It was all about getting her healed ect..ect... And since then they never have asked. I would think Des would be all over this. Asking any and all things related to Penny, and how they found him. But not a word.
The thing I've come to believe is that she is Dharma. Yes Dharma, but not, and I repeat..not a part of the Others. Since we know that the purge was the killing off of the Dharma people that were running it. I'm thinking that the Hostiles took over running the show, and did so to continue getting the food and aid that is sent from dharma. So long as the comunication continued. I'd think that the Dharma people on the mainland would accept pretty much any leadership (managment) changes that happened on the island so long as they were still getting follow up on the research.
How this brings Naomi to the island is through John Locke, and his attention he's been paying to things he's making go boom. Just before blowing the Flame station to pieces Locke sent a S.O.S. of sorts. This is something Dharma would respond to. But when they can't contact the Flame any longer it's time to bring the cavalry. i believe John did this to assist his friends, and help them get off the island. So Naomi is part of the group from Dharma out trying to find the island. They were in fact looking for it though. Since the Looking Glass is jamming all signals. they woud'nt have had a way to pinpoint the island. She is there to find out what the problem is, and what has been going on. I think that the plane crash scenerio that she passes on to Hurley and the rest is the truth.. but it's a half truth. She's not telling them that it was rugged by her employer, and now she's just trying to get any help she can so she can report back to the ship.
I know I bounced around a bit, but I thought some of it needed explaining to make sense.[/u]

I agree Naomi probably isn't telling the whole truth, and it is possible that Dharma were in fact alerted when Locke "entered 77" (though I think he did that more to see if Dharma woudl respond so he could learn more about the island than to help the rest of them) - I suppose we'll learn more in the finale, there's naomi and now Greta and Bonnie to learn about as well, but what's the chances they'll answer all our questions? Laughing

Wouldn't have it any other way though!
