In the Season 3 premier

When he and the others first saw the plane crash, he sent goodwin to the tailies and then after he'd sent ethan to our losties, he said, there might actually be survivors. Now this got me thinking, most people would think that a plane crash would kill anyone and leave no survivors, so why does Fhenry assume there are survivors. Maybe there has already been a crash on the island and he's seen that there were survivors from that crash. Or he himself was involved in a plane crash, and therefore knows its possible to survive crashing on the island.

Just an idea lol :]

It soudned to me like he said "there might be survivors" like this had hapepned before and the other times there were no survivors, but this time he had hope, maybe because of the way the plane broke up?

What really intrigued me was the fact that they obviously did not know who any of the people on the plane were (contradicting my earlier theory that they worked with Kelvin to bring the plane down) and yet two months later when they are holding Jack they have a full file on his life, everything that ever happened to him by the look of it. Who are they in contact with that can get them that kind of information? None of my previous theories about a saboteur stand up to this particular scrutiny (though sabotuers still could have brought the plane down and be working for Dharma or Widmore, but I'm just talking about the Others here) either as Cindy, Libby and anyone else on the plane landed on the island at the same time as the losties so couldn't have found this stuff out. Who is supplying them with modern kitchen appliances and permanent records? Widmore? Any other ideas?

Well the info on Jack could have come from his dad before he died, as there's a lot of rumours/theories going round about Jack's dad being part of the others or Dharma etc, cos as of yet, we don't know if they have information on every single losty or just Jack, we'll have to wait and see i suppose :]

That's true, but they didn't seem to know the plane was comign down so why woudl they have been gathering info on Jack if they didn't know he was going to be coming to the island?

Maybe they had something planned for Jack before the plane crashed or before they even knew he was getting on the plane. Maybe he was connected with Dharma before any of the business on the island took place

Well anythign is possible...I suppsoe it all rests on whether they have files on the rest of the losties as well...it woudl be a hell of a stroke of luck for the Others if they were already gathering info on Jack and he just happened to be on the plane that just happpened to crash there....Then again i still think the plane crash was deliberate, Kelvin working with someone, or perhaps the person on the outside who supplies the Others with their files and modern appliances arrranged for jack to crash there as a present for his/her proteges?

hahaha i agree they have way to much time on their hands lol... it would be very strange if they did have files on everybody that would definitely make me have more questions than i already do about the others...they really are a mysterious bunch of peeps lol Laughing
