Juliet's freaky hands *contains Not in Portland spoilers!!!* |
|
Anyone else notice Juliet's freaky hands in "Not in Portland" ? In her flashbacks her hands looked like that of a much older woman . It could be that the writers were just trying to show her vulnerability more by showing her wringing her hands in flashbacks and she may just have naturally gnarly hands!!
But as someone on a different forum pointed out, the guard at the door of the place they were holding Carl was apparently reading " A brief history of time" by Stephen Hawking....
Also , the x-rays that Juliet was shown of the woman in her 20s with the womb of a 70yr old struck me as odd. I'm not sure whether this is a time travel theory or just observations! Still trying to get my head round it!!
Any thoughts?

It reminded me of that Joop the monkey theory (was it Joop?! Sounds wrong!) that was on the WatchLost site. Something to do with ageing wasn't it?

Think I missed that one on Watchlost but I couldn't help but wonder whether there is something in all the clues or whether the writers are just messing with us beacuse they know we'll talk about it at length on forums!!

interesting, I didn't notice the hands but the connection between that and the womb seems relevant, what I thought the womb was about was somethign to do with the Others having fertility problems (perhaps the healing powers of the island (rose&locke) can accelerate aging in otherwise healthy people (could be the way they'll explain away walt's aging as well?)) though it wouldn't explain her hands as that was in flashbacks...
I thought that was why they recruited her, they seem to have an obsession with children, as I suppose any society that couldn't have them would, and if she was working practical miracles then she would be the ideal doctor to sort out their fertility problems.

I still think its the actress. She looks like she had work done and might be older then she appears in the face. Just a guess.
