Ep 12 - Dead is Dead

I liked it. Some bits were obvious, like Desmond kicking Ben's ass (Go Desmond!) but I still enjoyed the ep.

So I'm guessing the Smoke let Ben live because he finally killed Alex and that's what the island wanted all along?!

Ben's such a great character, was good to have an ep about him. There's something dodgy about Locke, how come he knows so much all of a sudden?

And I take it now that that pretty much confirms that the dead people/visions aren't the Smoke, as it disappeared back into the ground and then we saw Alex.

Glad Cesar got shot, couldn't stand him! I hope he is actually dead. I was shocked when Ben suddenly shot him! Was good though, cos I was just thinking about Cesar 'Somebody should punch him' then Ben does that! Now why doesn't that ever happen when I think that about Jack eh?! Laughing

I jumped out of my skin when Ben fell down the hole! Laughing

May have been partly due to the lack of Jack....in general it was good though as I love the stuff in Ben flashbacks, learning how he got to be who he was.

I didn't really care about Cesar either way but that was just brilliant when Ben shot him! Like Lost used to be, something just happens without all the tricksy lead up stuff.

I guess Locke's in tune with the island in a way, now he's been dead? Maybe lke
Christian? (The writers must have been reading the RPG again, knowing where the smoke is?!)

great scene with Desmond kicking Ben's arse! Loved that!

I suppose the visions of dead people might not be the smoke itself but they do still seem linked to it...

The hieroglyphs made me think of Egypt again....there's some connection there, with the people leaving the island ending up in Tunisia which is pretty near Egypt....or maybe I'm reading too much into it! Laughing

Yeah, it looks like maybe Alex was meant to die! Something seems to turn the leaders of the others into cold, heartless people....Widmore, Ben....

Anyway, thought it was the best ep in a long time - and next week's looks good too!

Yeah it was definitely the best ep of the season so far! All the better eps seem to lack Jack...
