Mr Miyagi's not in Gremlins is he? Where's the mogwai come from?! Anyway, all I remember of karate kid is that move he does, and him standing on that post by the sea.

No, can't remember what the old dude in Gremlins is called...might be the same actor though, I'll look it up! Mogwai is in gremlins, that's what the cute original one is called 
I just vaguely remember the story of the Karate Kid, he's lonely or has no friends or something, and he learns karate from Mr Miyagi....I think....
