Before the episode (because I read some spoilers) I hoped that Sawyer wouldn't kill cooper, that he decided to just let it go. But after hearing the things Cooper said and saw the way he was I was also shouting "Kill him" he was such a jerk! I wonder how it'll effect Sawyer from now on, its certainly a life changing experience for him.

I think it was good, I wanted Cooper dead and it was great to finally see that resolved (that he was original Sawyer as we'd all speculated about it for a long time) and I didn't mind the idea of Sawyer killing him, he'd always wanted to and it was nice to see him get that closure, though I'm sure it'll have an effect on him, but he really didn't give himself a chance (cooper) with the way he spoke - taunting Locke mgith have worked as he knew how to play him but the way he spoke to Sawyer was never going to get the same reaction, he underestimated him and paid for it.

Yeah I think he got too cocky with himself because he used the same kind of talk with Lock and he wouldn't kill him. It was a big mistake to provoke Sawyer as he was probably even worsely effected by this guy then Locke had been.

Locke had the connection that for a while he felt he'd found the father he'd always been searchign for, and he coudl never accept that Cooper had betrayed him, hence he destroyed his relationship with Helen and never let himself move on because of this, he always kept a bit of loyalty to him - he never told the rich woman's son what Cooper had done to him, although he did then warn him off, it was yet another attempt to reach out to him as much as anything else.
Sawyer was never looking for anything from him except a chance to kill him, so the emotions concerned were very different.
