i like this board!! we have focused so much on the sawyer/locke thing and it is divisive....
jack and kate... she still wants him, always has, and instead of following the true aspects of love and trusting him, she allows her jealousy to take over and dominate her decisions. jack traditionally takes up for the underdog.... in this case, juliet. juliet hates ben enough to tell jack about the upcoming raid and to allow the LOSTies to prepare for it. will they fight? or hide?
we have been promised a confrontation for a season ender... with jack doing something we will talk about all summer... it will be interesting to find out what that will be...

that said I'm about to go mad on your JATE opinion...I hate jack and Kate as a couple and I've posted the reason so many times already today alone that I won't go into it now but I really don't think it's true love between them, their relationship is unequal and I hate how she is around him

Maybe Juliet is triple crosssing but if so, again, why doesn't Jack trust kate enough to tell her????? Especially as seeing as he saw the monitor that day he's bound to know she's going to be targeted as a potential pregnant woman....

If Kate can sleep with Sawyer at the same time as being in love with Jack then Jate would just never work. They are far too different for each other and lack any sort of sexual chemistry or understanding required for a relationship

Yeah I agree that it would never work as a relationship and I think they're unhealthy as a couple....but I always have a niggling doubt in my mind after hearing Cuse and Lindeloff saying that Jack is "obviously" the guy she should be with (that "lost - Survivor guide" thing before the second part of S3 aired...)

please! don't take my statement as being a jater! the little relationships i look at as a very minor part of this show!i love the mystery of the island, the theorizung and figuring out what happened to get them there and how to get home! to me, the only relationship worth following is between des and penny... and i look at this as a key plot point!

well well well peeps what can i say. that was a truly pretty damm good epsiode with some emotinally brilliant, heart wrenching acting from good ole joshy boy.th man jus gets beta an beta.he was amasin in his scenes with coop.an i hav no qualms wotsoeva admittin i had tears in my eyes throughout the hole 'realsawyer' scene .specially wen he goes 'her name was mary', my god i was in pieces someone give th man a cuddle for me quick. an oh how horrible it was wen coop was mocking him reading the letter an wot he sed bout his mum practiculary beggin him to take th money an get her away from her miseralble life, but then james showed him wot for an squeezed th life out of the heartless man good for him, his mother would of bin proud i reckon. anyway now that 'sawyer' is gone for good (so we hope producers) how is this momentous event gona afect james chracter? now he's acomplishesd his lifelong goal i worry wot hes gona do with himself now. oh an jus one more thing bout this ep b4 i send u lot in2 limbo (like th producers kept tryna trick us in2 thinkin wer r losties r, with ther not so subtle ther all ded hints) with my mundanley long post. i total agree with april on the hole kate situation. she is doin my head in no end. the way shes behavin now she joly well deserves to get taken in th hole prregnancy raid thing.why cant she leave jack th pratt alone an open her eyes to th man she let b lettin sleep in her bed.for god sake woman.rite thas me done then

i really appreciate your summary and insight into the sawyer scene. he is rid of his demon now... can he love freely and help kate grow into the person she can be? can he become a true leader, leaving behind the sarcasm and anger he has carried all these years? is his mission on this earth over?

I would say its more Locke's story over and done with, theres a lot more to possibly find out about Sawyer. Having said that I'd hate it if Locke did ever get killed off, even more so if it was by the hands of Jack.
