He is starting to suck. And in the promo whoever it is says to him about Kate... So he's still interested in Kate?! Why?

I haven't watche d the promo yet, cos I haven't managed to watch episode 2 yet.. but I hate that he's hung up on Kate still, it's boring.

Yeah it is boring. And I hated the Claire thing with him and now he's sort of got a thing with Juliet?!

Yeah, the Clare thing I hated, it was just lame. But I think the Juliet thing could work... although I don't see why they need to keep setting him up with people, can't he have a storyline in his own right, outside the Kate triangle thing?!

Yeah this is why I don't like it. Juliet and Sawyer would work better than Claire and Sawyer, but it needs to be developed, not just done for the sake of it!

Yeah, I think they've just been throwing half-arsed storylines at Sawyer for the last season. I loved it when he went all scary with Locke's dad, but then that was just sort of dusted under the carpet and he went back to just stomping around being a comedy background character, which sucks!

At least with Hurley and Claire not around him anymore, he can't turn into a substitute Charlie, which seemed to be happening for a bit there!

Yeah that's true. I hated the whole Sawyer/Hurley show, I thought it was very lame.

I quite like the Miles and Sawyer relationship, something should be done with that.

Yeah, that could be cool. Either that or they should just kill of Sawyer. Never thought I'd say that but his character really sucks at the moment Sad

Yeah, I hate that the writers don't seem to remember the previous seasons when they write the characters, all the cool stuff with Locke's Dad , they never bothered following that up with Sawyer, a couple of weeks later he was Hurley's comedy foil! It's just weird...

Characterisation in Lost kinda sucks. It's sacrificed in favour of storyline sometimes.

Yeah , there's obviously a lot of stuff they need to jam in before the end of season 6, but nobody will care if the characters suck!

Yeah, sawyer's character has gone downhill a fair bit, but I'm hoping that now with Kate & Jack & everyone gone maybe he'll develop better. You're right thoug, there was never any follow up from the scene where he finally got to kill original Sawyer. It's like that was his arc, that was the height of it, and after that they didn't really care anymore but they didn't kill him off because he was part of the triangle?

That's it. Once a character has finished their story they don't seem to bother with them anymore, apart from Jack, who they make up more crap for.

Yeah, he's one of the least complex characters really - I mean, so he has daddy-issues because his dad drinks and told him he'd never be a great doctor or something.Hmm, let's compare that to:

- Locke's dad stole his kidney and threw him out of an eight floor window leaving him paralysed
- Kate's dad beat her mum up so she killed him
- Sawyer's dad shot his mum and himself while little Sawyer was there
...and that's just three of the others, even Claire has a right to bigger daddy issues than jack in my opinion, as it's the same guy! Laughing

Definitely!! I don't really get why Jack's depressed actually, thinking about it. Was that explained? It's possible I wasn't paying attention.
