TMI, oh yeah, I think I've heard of that... I've not seen kids TV for ages, well, apart from the Night Garden because my nephew loves it - now that's a mega creepy show!

Ok I am sooooo disappointed!! Sad I've been waiting since I was like 15 or something to see a film version of Gambit, and then I've had to wait for three xmen films til he's finally in one and he was in it for about 15 mins!! He didn't do the accent and he didn't even say 'mon ami' which I was waiting for. (Although, dude's a total fox so that was good!) He was good when he was in it, (and I was grinning like a loon everytime!) but from all the trailers and hype and stuff I was expecting him to be in it way more than he was! Gutted. It's not like he's an obscure character either, he's like one of the main ones, he's also the main one all the fans have been ranting about as he wasn't in the last three films. So why doesn't he get a decent role?! Unless it's cos he'd overshadow Wolverine. *sigh*

Anyway, stupid fangirl rant over. It was actually a pretty decent film and if you're not a geek like me you'll probably enjoy it!

Although another disappointing thing was Dom Mon. Seriously, bloke was in it for five mins!!

*sulks*

*goes off to find pics of Taylor Kitsch*

That's such a pity, I knew you were really looking forward to it!

Maybe Hugh Jackman's ego was just too big to share the screen with someone younger&better looking?

I'm gutted. I don't think it was Hugh Jackman, more that Gambit's quite a big character and they don't know where to fit him in! Sad I don't know if he'll be in any other xmen films either cos his age is sort of all screwed up now. He should be around the age of Cyclops, who was a kid in this film!

Still, like I said, if you're not a geek tis a good film. My mum loved it.

I like Xmen anyway so I'll probably see it at some stage, will probably wait for the dvd though, just not much of a cinema person.

Yeah tis worth watching. I was reading IMDB last night and it seems that everyone who knows about the comics/cartoons didn't go much on it, but everyone else loved it.

I'm still really narked over Gambit! Laughing In the trailer though, Wolverine says "I know who you are, Gambit" which kinda makes it seem that Gambit's this mysterious character who has some sort of important role in the film, but he's pretty much shoehorned in! It could have been any character had his role. The first thing I did when I came out of the cinema was rant! Laughing

I've now dug out my cartoon dvds and am gonna watch an ep to soothe my poor little wounded geeky soul...

Yeah it does! I watched an ep and it didn't even have Gambit in it! Laughing

Edit: Just seen this trailer:

Now is that misleading or what?! That's pretty much all his scenes right there! Laughing

I wouldn't mind if it was said that he just had a cameo role, but this is what I was expecting, him to be a main character. (You realise I'm going to rant about this for days?!) Laughing

Yeah, I'm starting to get a sense of that! Laughing It's a fair point though, I mean, you decided not to watch the copies that were released on the net, but to pay money and go to the cinema, and they screwed it up....

Exactly! I demand a refund!! It was a good film but it could've been so much better! I hope they make an Origins: Gambit film, although I'm not sure how that'd work cos like I say, the ages are all wrong. It works for Wolverine cos of his not ageing thing.

Yeah. They did it in the very first film though, what with making Rogue and Iceman and Pyro teens, when really they should be adults... especially as the pairing is Rogue and Gambit, not Rogue and Iceman. This is why it makes no sense now, this new film is like a prequel, so it's Wolverine's past, before the other three xmen films. So that makes Gambit really old.
