If you haven't seen them yet watch them here
So....most of them were pretty crap. Some (Jin on the golf course, Hurley and Frogurt) were funny. A lot were boring, probably deleted scenes that didn't really tell us anything we didn't know already, or if we didn't know it, we didn't need to.
There was a decent one where Juliet and Ben talk about Walt, but the final one really did get my attention - much as I dislike Jack related matters! Was cool to have it from Vincent's POV as well!
I thought seeing Jack's father, certainly appearing alive (he was able to touch the dog, ghosts and visions can't do that, and when the smoke monster has appeared to people in the past that doesn't seem to have been a part of its abilities) was a bit of a revelation.
There'd always been speculation on this issue, because of Jack having visions of him, the coffin being empty, and most recently the way Jack refers to his father as being alive in the flashforwards in the S3 finale. But this seems to be more conclusive - so if he's alive, and he's talking about waking jack up because he's got work to do, what the hell is he talking about? Is he working with the Others, or with Dharma? Was/is he aware that pregnant Claire was also on the plane? And Ana Lucia? (I find Christian a more interesting character than Jack!)
Plenty of scope for speculation!

I like Christian - he was quite evil . I hope he turns out to be an Other, Jack having a supervillain for a Dad would be excellent!

Wouldn't it? I'd be ok with him being Dharma too, they seem pretty evil as well! he seemed pretty calm and collected considering the supposedly being dead and the plane crash and all, certainly not surprised about the turn of events, and the "work to do" is intriguing - if he's an Other maybe he means Ben' spine, but that's unlikely as Ben had only found out a couple of days before himself - maybe Christian works for Dharma, and the "work" he's referring to is that he knows Jack's personality will make him try to be a hero and get everyone rescued, which will one way or another lead Dharma back to the island....
He is pretty evil, I've often wished jack was more like him, he's manipulative and has none of that self-righteous, self-satisfied smugness that's a major facet of Jack's personality.

Yeah, maybe Jack's mother was irritating and he got all of her genes! They're not the most convincing father and son ever! The only reason I want Christian to be evil is so it causes Jack angst

I'd just like him to be evil....don't know if watching more angst-ridden Jack scenes would be that much fun, but the revelation scenes would be!

That's true - Jack angst tends to go on for too long.... but finding out he was one of the baddies would be excellent!

Plenty to laugh at, and it might make the rest of them a bit less keen to trust him, which would be great, I loved it near the end of the last season when a few of them started to lose faith in him over Juliet and stopped telling him stuff!

Yeah, I hope they continue that theme!
I noticed in the Jorge Garcia interview he was saying that Hurley starts taking more of a leadership role, so maybe Jack gets ousted as supreme decision maker (hope so!)

That would be great! I love Hurley, and he'd do a hell of a lot better job of it than Jack has!

I don't think there's anything that could possibly happen that would ever make me in the slightest bit interested in Jack. He's possibly the worst lead character in the entire history of TV!

I really don't like Jack either, but his Dad's mysterious and now potentially evil, that makes him interesting!

That makes his dad interesting, I still couldn't care less about Jack!

No, me either! Don't know if he's the worst lead character in a tv show ever....as I haven't seen every TV show ever made! he annoys the hell out of me though, it's the self-righteousness that gets me.

I really think he is!! I don't watch a lot of TV either, but he's just so bad! It's his whole character I can't stand. Just crap characterisation!!

Yeah, I agree. He's so not likeable with his whinging and moaning about being in charge . Especially when he's put next to really good characters like Sawyer, Locke and Sayid, he's just laaaame!

Yeah exactly, I don't like Locke particularly, but he's a good character at least. Jack just sucks!

I really like Locke, he's cool.! Hope he's in S4 loads...reckon he will be.
There are so many characters that could do with more screen time than Jack, and yet the writers don't seem to get that....

I mostly don't like Locke cos he was a git to Charlie... But he's far more interesting than Jack. I don't get what the writers see in Jack?! I don't think his character has developed at all either, since the beginning. Which I hate!!!
