Double post, oopsie....
Anyway, we were putting up the Christmas decorations last night and playing xmassy music and walking in the air came on - turns out Joe is completely freaked out by the snowman as well, first thing he said was "that's a freaky film, no way my kids will be allowed watch it!"

Well the first thing he was told was "YOUR kids? Hmph!" But he wouldn't back down, said the snowman was sinister and freaky.
You're both weird!

Tis sinister and freaky!! I like the idea of banning the kids from seeing it, think I'll do that an' all!

They'd be missing out on so much though! it's not freaky, it's beautiful and magical! I'm so showing it to the kids when we have some!

Yes they will! And they'll have wonderful dreams about magical snowmen who taken them on adventures!

I agree with you AR! It's the best christmas film ever! An important part of Christmas, not sinister at all!

Exactly! Christmas wouldn't be the same without it - I didn't get to see it last year, and I really missed it!

Never seen it myself, what's it about? Most Christmas films make me emotional... i think it's probably all the gin I drink this time of year

It's really sad. It's about these five people who all have these really tragic stories (I love a good tragic story!) One of them has her mother in hospital with Alzheimer's and she visits this other man too who nobody ever sees, another man wants to spend Christmas in hospital cos he remembers having the best party there when he was 14, so he injures himself to go there, then has to see a shrink. Another bloke and his fiance split up (they reminded me of Adzy) cos he gets jealous rages, then he finds this other bloke who thinks that the jealous blokey is his reincarnated wife! It's really good actually, not a typical Christmas film!

It was on TV this afternoon, I missed the beginning of it but really got into it! Had Robin Williams in it, but not much, and Susan Sarandon.

Susan Sarandon only ever seems to be in traumatic films She must enjoy acting miserable the whole time!
