Some general s4 infoLost makers discuss the new series
The makers of 'Lost' have been discussing some of what fans can expect from the fourth series.
Speaking exclusively to SCI FI Wire, 'Lost's executive producer and co-creator, Damon Lindelof, said that series four would "answer and ask a lot of questions".
He continued: "Season four is going to be a whole new show in a lot of ways. We're really excited with what we're doing and hope that it'll offer as many surprises as the finale did."

Michael and Walt
Lindelof also discussed some plot developments.
"Michael (actor Harold Perrineau) is coming back. Definitely," he said.
"As for Walt (Michael's son, played by Malcolm David Kelley), we've always known Malcolm was going to grow faster than we could shoot the show. And we planned for it. Trust us. Please trust us."
Lindelof's fellow executive producer, Carlton Cuse, discussed the character of Jakob, who was introduced at the end of series three.
"Yes, we do know how Jacob will be depicted. Notice the careful wording of my answer," he said. "And no, Jacob did not appear before he was met by Locke."
Cuse did not say whether an actor had been chosen to play Jakob.
Flashbacks and Forwards
The duo said that flashbacks would continue to be used in the series but viewers would also get more glimpses into the future.
"It's absolutely inevitable, not to migrate completely away from flashbacks, but at least to find a new paradigm for storytelling that changed up the nature of the show," said Cuse.
"Moving forwards, you'll get a mix. Every week will hopefully be a guessing game as to not just who will be focused on, but when we're focusing on them. Flash-forwards will be a part of season four, yes," he added.
The Death of Charlie
Lindelof also said that the death of Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) in series three would impact on series four.
"The reverberation of that death echoes right into the premiere of season four," Lindelof said.
The fourth series of 'Lost' premieres on US television on 6 February 2008.

Coool, love Jacob. Still not convinced about the flashforwards, don't reckon I'll ever like them.

Never say never....it will be interesting guessing which they are I'd say! If you saw a flashforward where Charlie came back to life could you live with it?

No, I really really hate them! I don't have the words to describe how much I hate them... but it's a lot! Probably doesn't help that the first flashforward was all about Jack mind!

Yeah that kind of depressed me too...i really hoped he would die, even if it meant we'd have the Jack-lovers on about how he had a heroic death for ever, I just wanted hm to be killed off! Still, I could imagine some interesting ones where we're guessing whether it's the past or the future the whole way through the episode.

Yeah but that'll just make me grumpy I reckon! I was gutted when we found out that Jack's never gonna die on the island. If there was a flashforward that showed Jack dying off the island, that might get me to start liking them!

i can imagine the posts between us Jack-haters after we'd all seen that! Fingers crossed.....

Unfortunately I think they will.....Cuse and Lindelof seem to be big Jack fans, I just live in hope they'll have a change of hearts!

Boo hiss to the flashforwards..unless the first S4 one reveals that the one we saw an S3 was a hoax and that Jack actually got hit by a grocery truck as he got off the rescue plane...
Yay to seeing more of Jacob, I loved that creepy ghost stuff they did with Locke last season!

Yeah that was my favourite stuff, all the Jacob stuff!

Yeah I thought it was one of the best bits of the whole season - I hope they keep him as a wierd ghosty sort of thing, so that we just keep getting glimpses of him. That'd be cool...

Yeah...wierd.
"Depticted" makes me think that he doesn't always look the same...maybe people see him differently....
Hang on a minute, they've nicked that from the RPG! Swines!

cheek!
Yeah, depicted is one of those funny words....the sentence is open to interpretation. Mu head isn't able to work out any of those interpretations today, but I know they're i there!

Definately sounds like we'll be getting someone's personal 'view' of Jacob rather than a clear picture....maybe Locke's?
|

Interesting, then we could see him in a Ben episode or flashback and have no idea it's the same person!

Yeah, that'd be cool! And trippy, I like trippy.
