Yeah I'm a bit disappointed actually, it looks like it's gonna be a lot of off island. I'm kinda only watching the show now cos I'm determined to bloody stick with it! |

Yeah me too. The fact that the show's called 'Lost' doesn't really make all that much sense any more. It should be renamed 'Jack.'

Yeah, they seem to have decided to focus on him and Kate completely now and it's ruining the show! I hope we at least get to see some of the "bad things" that Ben said had happened on the island... |

I love Hurley and Sayid and Sun's ok...lost interest in Kate though. And I think my feelings on the Jack subject are clear....

Yeah, I don't really like the direction the show has gone in, there's been chances for it to redeem itself and so far it hasn't - was burning the finale onto a DVD today for someone and I just remembered how bad it was and how disappointed I was when I watched it. I mean, they have to tell us what happens to Locke and Sawyer and everyone on the island, don't they? |

I hope so. I just hate all the off island stuff so much. I mean, when the show started you kinda wondered if they ever got rescued and they have and it's crap! That should've been the end. Predictable maybe, but the show's so different now to what it was at the start it's stupid. |

Yeah, if that was the end overall it would have been even worse I think though! Not them getting rescued but the whole Oceanic 6 thing....I wouldn't mind a bit of off0island stuff, if it was Ben and Widmore and stuff like that where we find out more about the history of the island, but Jack being tortured soul Jack is going to make me throw things. |

Well not ended with the six of them leaving like that, I mean if it'd ended with a boat turning up at the island to rescue them. I hate all the off island stuff, all of it. I like Ben, but I think that any off island stuff should've stayed in flashbacks. |

I really don't mind the flashforwards when they make it more interesting - I did like finding out Sayid works for Ben, and that ben and Widmore know each other. But most of it is pointless - though I could say the same for a lot of flashbacks, and usually for the same characters... |

God yeah, I hate Jack flashbacks. I just think they could've done more with what they had, not changed it all ridiculously. They should have developed what was already there. Plenty of characters could've had much more interesting stories to tell. Charlie is the main one, his character was totally destroyed and he could've been written so much better! I know I always say that about Charlie anyway, but Hurley, Sawyer, Jin, Sun... they could all have more in their pasts. As could have Boone, Shannon even! And Miles and co better be bloody developed now that they've been introduced. |

Yeah, they did nothing really with Miles, Daniel, Charlotte & frank, after introducing them relatively well, then nothing. And the other ones you mentioned too - if you add up the time they spent on Jack flashbacks and divided it between other characters, it would have made for much better episodes i think! |

Definitely. I mean, I know Jack is the favourite, whatshisface has even admitted that, but they should be writing the show for the viewers, not themselves! |

I know, Lindelof is so truly madly deeply in love with Jack it's not even funny! It's ridiculous!
I mean, not liking Jack (for all the well documented reasons we've discussed before) shouldn't be as much of a problem as it is in a show that's meant to have a large ensemble cast! There's always going to be one or two you don't like, but having so many of them usually means there's not too much time on any one person. |

It's such a pity, looking back I think the first two seasons were the best, they had plenty of self-righteous jack but at least there was plenty of other stuff too, and the other characters hadn't been shoved into the background as much! |

I still hold out some hope for it as it was so good back then, that maybe they'll go back to the wider focus (and the island as the focus!) but it's growing fainter
