etter than the first episode, I really enjoyed it.
The best moments surrounded Locke, Ben and Sawyer and I like the new people.
Oh and Locke asked the right question "what is the smoke monster?"

Just got one part left to watch. But I just wanna say that Miles is quite possibly my new fav! How good is he?! Much better than all the other new characters they've tried putting in. I can't stand Charlotte!!! Daniel's ok, kinda annoying.
Love the spooky talking to the dead kinda stuff.
Sawyer annoyed me a wee bit, I hate all the 'badass' crap. It's getting boring now. Sayid was ok. Juliet needed a slap for being so smug, as did Jack. Is it too much to ask to just have someone randomly punch Jack?! That'd be ace!!
I wanted to say something else but I've forgotten what. 
Edit: Ok seen it all now. Did anybody else think 'Reuben' as soon as they saw Frank or have I gone a wee bit mental?!

ya miles is worth watching hate bloody charlotte another annoying character,
daniel isnt that bad.and defn better then the first one loved it.

I didn't mind Charlotte, Daniel kind of annoyed me though. I liked Frank and Miles was kind of weird!
Some great scenes, didn't think much happened overall though which was a bit disappointing.
Yeah, Locke really did ask the right question!
Ben was pretty good, no one else really stood out for me, even Jack and Juliet didn't really do enough to annoy me as much as they usually do. Although when they saw Charlotte's transponder thingy moving really fast I thought Locke had thrown it and I was hoping it would smack Jack right in the face! 
Kind of figured something was up on the boat too when they Miles couldn't get a hold of Minkowski or whatever his name is. And it was hardly a revelation that they were there for Ben....I mean, we kind of knew that since the end of S3, he killed the Dharma people, they probably want the island back.....
Wonder what the story is with the black guy? When we saw him in last week's episode I got the impression that he was one of Ben's people on the outside, when he asked "Are they still alive?" - I thought he meant the Others. This time he seemed more Dharma, kind of an enigma so far.
What the hell was the story with the polar-bear bones and Dharma logo in the Tunisian desert? The ghostbusting stuff is kind of weird but interesting. Don't get Daniel's story at all. And there's got to be more to Frank - if he was meant to fly the plane, and then he gets picked for this mission, it can't just be random coincidence, there must have been a reason he was meant to fly but didn't (not just that he was drunk or whatever, something more complex like he was supposed to crash it but had an attack of conscience maybe?)
Didn't think Reuben when I saw him but now you mention it Em, there is a similarity!
Decent episode overall, but not great.

Too obsessed with the RPG, that's probably the reason for that!
That would've been great if the transponder had whacked Jack in the face!!! Now why couldn't the writers have thought of that?!

I like Miles but I have to admit all that that mystic ghost crap put a dent on his character for me. Daniel has potential as a good character but not sure on Charlotte or Reuben *cough* Frank.
Despite the new characters and Kate though the other party are still far more interesting.

Again, a good episode, but not great . I though Miles was cool, especially the ghostbuster stuff and I like Frank (Reuben) . Not really sold on Charlotte yet and Daniel's annoying me already!
The Sawyer/Locke stuff is quite interesting. I agree with Em, Sawyer's being a bit boring hardass at the moment, but their relationship's quite interesting so hopefully that'll bring him back to being a bit more three-dimensional.
Jack still sucks....was it just me or did he spend that whole episode just telling Kate what to to?!!

Yeah, Jack spent a lot of time telling Kate what to do. She's probably the only one who'll listen to him, maybe that's why he does it!

Jack was pretty mean to Kate too with the whole "Well I winked...." thing.
Watched it again now, no new insights really. I liked the whole Locke/Sawyer dynamic, think it's building up towards stuff. I think it was one of those episodes where they had to introduce the new characters so therefore the story can't really be moved along....

Well they came armed with gas masks...methinks they're out to get revenge for what he did to Dharma.....
Was wondering too - the trench where the fake Oceanic 815 was planted (presumably because whoever planted it knew they were trawling the area for spanish doubloons) - that was in the Indian Ocean, Oceanic 815 was meant to be flying from Sydney to LA, it shoudl never have gone anywhere near there.

Yeah, maybe.... I must admit I was a bit disappointed with this ep though. It was sort of like a mid-season one, lots of small bits of interesting stuff, but nothing that made my jaw hit the floor...
Hope they perk up a bit as the season goes on!

Yeah, I think it was just because they had to introduce so many new characters, they haven't really done that since "The other 48 days"....
So what I was saying above about where the plane was found - here's a map. The black line is pretty much (taking into account my crap Geography skills) the flight path the plane should have taken from Sydney to LA. It went off course and tried to go back to Fiji which makes sense - but the X on the left is where they found the fake one. Just thought that was kind of weird that no one in the media would question it being there.....

overall i thought this episode was pretty good..
wasnt sure whether id like the new characters but i do like miles, and the ghost thing was interesting..
didnt get daniels story at alll...why was he on the mission, did i miss something.??
and the guy who was supposed to fly the plane..i forget his name..was okay, but that woman..i have to say she reallyyyy annoys me!! lol
i thought those polar bear bones in the desert were good..perhaps dharma had another testing ground thingg...
well it gives us alot more to think about..!!

Wowser?!!!! i have to say chums i hav again been left pretty speechless by the end of this episode , good ole Lost sure aint dissapointin me so far this season (im sure it will enevitably) in fact it makes all that waiting seem worthwhile.not quite sure if iv been silenced cos of all the all the new information and characters my brain is again strugglin to process (of whom btw ive already decided i cant stand charlotte, is it jus me or dus she hav scary eyes?), or jus cos ive had a pretty crap exhausting week and i needed cheerin up or (n this is the probably th real reason i found it most enjoyable when u lot seem to mostly think it was a bit mundane) cos of the fact ther was a good amount more sawyer screen time in this eppy than th previous an i hav to say im gald we'r gettin a bit of a glimse of th ole cheeky,attitudey,badass sawyer comin back.i mean dont get me wrong i adore his softie 'james' side as much as anyone but we stil need some of his good ole testosterone fuelled outbursts as well everynow an then otherwise hed be about as much as a man as Jack is for gods sake. anyway im supposed to b speechless arnt i.sorry rant over.gota go to bed.

Yeah I agree Bagels, Sawyer has been too out of it and soft lately so it was good to see him back somewhat to his badass ways. Got to thank Ben for that, he really knows the sore spots of everyone. Even if he is captured he still has more control and knowledge of what is actually going on than anyone.

Much as I love Sawyer as a character, I think when the writers neglect him for a bit he begins to become just a thug rather than someone who is actually angry for a reason.
I just hope they temper his hardass stuff with some character development after all the stuff last season with the real Mr Sawyer, his connection with Locke hasn't really been explored yet as the finale happened pretty much straight after it was all revealed. I hope we get to see more of that in the next few eps.

Hurley called him "Red...neck...man" once, in the episode with the Dharma bus, was funny! I like him when he's badass but they have to explain it more, I agree with RWG on that one, after he killed Locke Sr/original Sawyer we really should get a Sawyer episode to show what that's done to him.

Most of Sawyers flashbacks are good in my opinion because unlike most they are unpredictable. Dont think we'll get a flashforward for him though. . .

yeah I like it so far, preferred the first episode to the 2nd though - we might only get 8 eps though with the writers' strike, but it looks like that might finally be resolved soon so hopefully we'll get the full 16....

yeah i think the writers struck a deal with major studios so hopefully no mid breaks. im missing 24 so badly but sticking with lost and this se4 in particular also the ratings have gone up.

Yeah, been watching old 24 to help with not getting the new one!
Hopefully they'll get it resolved soon, apparently they've been in talks so it should be! Gload to hear the ratings have gone up, pity it's so reliant on American viewings though, the rest of the world loves Lost as well!

yeah i just finished watching season 6 of 24 and glad that bauer is out if jail.
thats right actually u made a good point there lot of shows get cancelled if they dnt get picked up otherwise here across the atlantic they do pretty well and after first season we dnt get to see the show.

now it 16 per season instead of cancelling the show they made the season shorter.
thankgod they didnt canel it as we do want to see what happens in the end.

yeah 16 eps per season is not that bad, better that than the way they broke the season up last year, I really didn't like that, way too long a break and it was odd having just the 6 episodes at the start, it made it weird.

Can't stand the new English girl ... I hate it when they put on an accent because thats how American's think we talk. They are VERY wrong!
I LOVE Miles! He is my new favourite character!! His backstory is interesting plus he's not for taking any crap of anyone. He made me laugh soooo much with his "You're the survivors of Oceanic 815?! Oh My God!" mock ... thought it was hilarious!
Now you mention it, I can see the resemblence between Frank & Reuben, they've definatly been stealing ideas from the RPG ...

She has a sort of too-posh-to-be-real voice , although I went to school with a few people who spoke like that, so there are a few out there.... they tend to be irritating though!
