Well, i thought this ep was reeeeally good. Quite like Jack abit more now, though im dissapointed with the cliffhanger, would've liked something a little more annoying lol.

i thought it was a great episode! i don't think that jack will actually kill ben though because i don't feel he could live with that on his conscience that he could have fixed someone else lol and of course jack is always looking for something to fix and here's his chance lmao Very Happy

Hmmz again im undecided whether i enjoyed it........For being the last episode for 3 months i maybe just expected a little bit more

One thing that really threw me tho was ben.....Is he the bad guy of the others or do the others want rid of him

He asked did alex ask for me...and he was told NO ....When she did so why lie to him.....Does anyone else think that ben doesnt actually know everything that is going on within the others......Also whats-his-name (erwin) waited untill he was out cold before he goes to kill sawyer......

Im getting more confused by each episode i really am

I thought it was an awesome episode!
I'm still totally confused about the Others, who's trustworthy and who's lying. Whether Kate slept with Sawyer for reasons other than... well, him being unbelievably hot (and who could blame her...what took her so long???!!) and whether Jack is actually willing to let Ben die.. yep, totally baffled.
Still, I loved it and even though I'm usually a cynic the romance between Sawyer and Kate was just lush, esp when he said "yeah I love you too" ... <goes a bit swoony and light headed>

I enjoyed this episode although I must say as cliffhangers go it was a bit annoying, mainly because Jack for all his good intentions doesn't realise that they are on another island, so I wonder how all that will pan out?

I was delighted to see Kate finally give in to her feelings for Sawyer (I don't think it was just a night of passion out of sympathy for a condemned man, even though she didn't actually say the words "I love you", she did indicate that those were her feelings, and we saw why she was worried about getting close.) She does love him, though she still has feelings for Jack as well I think she has grown very close to Sawyer while they've been kept in confinement.

I was proud of Jack, when he said he would do the operation i thought he was going to forget kate and Sawyer as he'd seen them together but he did well, and it was a very traumatic moment waiting for Pickett to answer the call to tell him to leave Sawyer alone. I didn't really think they'd kill off Sawyer, but you never do know.

The Others continue to mystify. Alex asked to speak to Ben but when he asked after her he was told that she had gone home (presumably to the village we saw in the opening ep of this series?) and that she hadn't asked for him. It was the only time I've noticed any real emotion in Ben's voice, when he asked after Alex, like it was the most important thing to him as he knew he might die on the table, and the way he asked after her was fatherly, so i wonder if he brought Alex up, maybe along with Juliet, and perhaps disagreements over how to handle her once she reached boyfriend age helped drive a wedge between them? All specualtion but he did seem to care about Alex in a way that he clearly doens't care about Juliet or any of the rest of them, they're all expendable as far as he is concerned, but he seemed genuinely sad that she hadn't asked for him.

Why did Juliet lie? Was it to hurt him, make his last moments unhappy as she presumably believed Jack would do what she had asked and kill him on the table? Was it to drive a wedge between Alex and Ben in case Ben did survive and recover? I don't trust Juliet any more than i do Ben, but only time will tell who is working under what agenda.

I wonder why Pickett waited to see Ben anaesthesised before he went to kill Sawyer but there does seems to be an element of politics in all their dealings, and perhaps Ben really did intend on being honourable as long as he got what he wanted so would have let Sawyer go when Picket wanted revenge for Coleen's death and Sawyer had borne the brunt of his anger so far. Can't belive I'm actually considering the possibility that Ben might have actually been honourable but I'm just considering it, not sure or anything.

We only saw Locke+co briefly, as they buried Eko, so no more about eyepatch guy or the monster, though I liked the moment with the words on the stick. I'm also looking forward to hearing more about Desmond and his ability to see the future(though not the impending death of Eko unfortunately) but it looks like we'll have to wait for the second half of the season for that.

Understandably they've focussed on the three taken by the Others, with flashbacks for Kate, Sawyer and Jack, but I look forward to getting back to the beach in the later episodes and finding out more about Hurley, Claire, Desmond, Charlie, Sayid and the rest.

It could be worse, as a cliffhanger it doesn't have my blood boiling though i'm keen to see what happens, they've answered a lot of questions to be fair to them (we know now that the Others have contact with the outside world, we know that they have problems with fertility which might explain why they take children, they don't appear to have known about the plane crash before the event, we've seen the monster get violent again, we know that the button pressing wasn't the only thing keeping the island hidden from the world (or it would have been swarmed by now) and we know that the Others have a very modern and seemingly civilised society, up to a point at least, though you could say the same about our own and maybe that's the point.

I look forward to it returning, and I think it has gotten better againa fter a dull opener to the new season, episodes 2-6 have been exciting, intriguing and filled with mystery which is why after all, we we love Lost - it keeps us on our toes.
