RugbyAnyone here interested in Rugby?
I never was until recently Ireland have started to do well so I watched a few matches (and then there was the whole Croke Park stuff during the 6 nations that I won't bore you with but it was kind of historic)
I don't understand all the rules yet but it looks like a good game!

at school the girls were actually allowed to play rugby but we were amazing! (well the ones who weren't afraid to chip a nail were)

The Six nations starts today....
Fingers crossed Ireland can make a better job of it than they did in the World Cup!

They did do well after a really poor start, Ireland had a poor start and a poor finish!
i hope we kick your arses when we play each other though!

I wasn't impressed with Ireland earlier, they beat italy but it was hardly convincing.

I know, I only saw the second half but Ireland played really badly
They never looked like they were going to score a try which is really depressing. I agree, O Sullivan out. They were stupid to give him a new contract BEFORE the world cup anyway!

the team needs a change least they cud have done is

great result from the scots thou they won the calcutta cup
it was miserable in edinburgh as always.

I didn't see the game but yeah, it was a great result for Scotland.
I know, not winning the triple crown is a bit miserable - it's like everyone is always saying "This will be Ireland's year" and it never is....

brian o driscoll got injured during the second half
he was in pain u cud see it.hope he'l be ok as next week is
the game against england.

Yeah he looked in pretty bad shape after he was brought off, I've no idea how serious the injury is yet though

the england - scotland match had to be the most boring game of rugby I've seen in years. Really tired of lazy england performances against subpar opposition.

Yeah.....see, I'd love it if it were to be a great match but I don#t th9ink it will, it'll be decided by penalties all the way and be boring as hell and won't matter who wins If Ireland score a few tries I'll be surprised.

coz he is touring new zealand and australia with the team
during the summer i dnt think they'l fire him maybe after
the summer tour.

retired after winning the world cup and they wanted him to stay
but he refused coz unfortunatley when it comes to south african rugby
there's always poltics involved, i can go on forever on this topic i love rugby.

and winning that one felt like heaven.
francois pienaar was the captain
and he's regarded as one of the most famous south african ever.
ofcourse after the great nelson mandela.

Yeah, I have to admit England did play a lot better. They haven't been at all consistent but they have played really well in a few games.

I think it's a lot like American football....I don't really know the rules but it's basically the point to either kick a drop goal/penalty where you kick the ball over the bar, or score a try, which is like a touchdown, you carry it over the line and hit it on the ground? And you can do quite a lot to take down the guy who has the ball!
