Not bad looking for an Other I must say! 
I think he's a great character, when we first saw him recruit Juliet I had no idea how much influence he had over the group, he seems to be a major player and to know he was there before Ben is very interesting, also the fact he doesn't age.

Judging by Ben's age of mid 40s Richard must be over 50, I don't know if the girly hair was supposed to make him look younger but it didn't.

It made him look nicer He looks about the same age all the time, that's what I find weird.

Not really my type, but he's certainly not looking bad for somone older than Ben! I think there's a lot more to be revealed there. Although Ben seems to have the power, Richard seems to not be as awed of Ben as many of the Others. It'd be interesting to see more of his character....

I really hope he isn't killed off, I think his character could be a very interesting addition to the show! I didn't like him when he was in it before, but with the long hair he does it for me...
I think maybe he commands more authority than we first thought - if he was instrumental in placing Ben as leader, perhaps he can be instrumental in taking it away again as well, and he seems to be intrigued by Locke which will make for plenty of opportunities in season 4...

yeah he's certainly charismatic, he'd be a great character to bring forward in the future. It'd be a shame if he got killed off - but I'd be surprised if he was, they've introduced the age question just by bringing him in so it'd be a real bummer to make him disappear without an explanation to that.

Hopefully he has a big future ahead of him. The age thing is a big one and as he was the one we saw we have to think that he's important in it, that he's an original Other, whatever that means...
With the long hair I think he's good looking but when he has it short he looks a bit like Will out of Will&Grace...

He certainly seems to, but Ben looks a lot older now than he did, so maybe it's only the true Others or something...I suppose we'll have to wait and see!

That's what I can't figure out - unless they had a leader before, who used to speak to Jacob maybe, but he or she died, and soon after that was when Richard first met Ben? Maybe he saw potential the potential in him, saw he was special or something? But now he thinks Ben is distracted too much by the baby thing and sees that same potential in Locke? And maybe Richard is someone who could have the power to change who the leader is? I don't know really, I find it very confusing...

yeah . . . my sister listened to the podcast and she said that they wouldn't say that locke was definatly dead - so maybe richard saves him

i like Richard as well i think he's great i hope he's around for a while.

i think the only reason the others take orders from ben is coz he spoke to jacob, member in the finale everyone was like what did jacob say or y wud jacob keep us on the island.

Well they're certainly starting to question Ben now, and since Tom and all the rest of them got killed, he's going to have a job on his hands regardless of what else happens to convince them to let him continue as leader! Even if they do believe Jacob talks to him, the fact they're saying "why?" so much suggests they don't believe Ben is necessarily passing on Jacob's messages.

Yeah I'd like to see a flashback dating from the time before Ben joined them - see who was their leader then and everything (and the fact that was when Richard had long hair has nothing to do with it)

Annie I think, yeah we are supposed to learn what happens to her in a Ben flashback, if she was there when the purge took place it'll make Ben look a whole lot more evil!
