The flashbacks were boring till the end when we found out they were not flashbacks at all.

Some really good and shocking scenes. Liked how Hurley turned into an unlikely hero and that Sawyer has serious mental problems.

Not enough Kate in it for my liking, she played as a support for Jack but she wasn't the way she usually is around him and they hardly shared any touching scenes so I'm glad.

Was surprised to see Jack and Julliet kiss, to see Walt again and when Mikhail rose from the dead again.

It builds things up well to season 4, it'll be interesting what happens now that the losties have the power.

WTF??? Hell of an ending anyway, I was about to scream about how bloody boring the flashbacks were but then...so can we take it that Jack and Kate at least will survive to the end and get off the island? And was the "He" referred to Sawyer? And Kate was certainly lacking a convicts uniform, so was she given a pardon because of stuff she did on the island or what? And if this is all afterwards why is Jack talking like his father is still alive? And why the hell does he want to go back to the island, what business did he leave unfinished? And whose funeral was it?

Some great scenes, Hurley to the rescue was up there with the best ever, and it seems that after the Cooper incident that Sawyer doesn't have a problem killing. Felt a bit sorry for Kate though, when he said she better not be pregnant, it was obvious to us that he just meant he didn't want her to die but I don't think she got that.

Nice little reunion between Alex and Rousseau, still a whole lot of unanswered questions there though.

I kind of figured that they hadn't shot Sayid, Jin and Bernard, since the gunshots were off camera.

Juliet was actually funny - "No, are you sleeping with Jack?"

Charlie's death scene was pretty good, and he managed to get the message across, bit too late though seeing as Jack went ahead and used the phone, suppose it did seem like the obvious thing to do but I was just wishing that Locke had shot him...

Mikhail seems to have a knack for coming back from the dead, I wonder what'll happen now with Penny? She heard Charlie say Desmond was there before the place flooded, so I presume she'll keep looking.

Locke seemed to be able to shoot Naomi ok, pity about Jack. I was half expecting planes to come and bomb or gas the hell out of the island as we knew by then that she was nothing to do with Penelope, but of course they had to go and leave the island then.

Wonder what the story was with Walt? Was he really there or was it another apparition? And if so how come he was able to appear in the right place at the right time and not be talking backwards? How has he learned to develop his skill if he was just out on a boat with his father?

Interesting that Juliet and Jack kissed about two minutes before Jack told Kate he loved her, will be interesting to see where they go with that in the new series.

I'm still trying to make sense of it all, might post more thoughts later as they come to me. Pretty mind blowing episode.

Just seen it. The flashbacks/forwards were absolutely God awful, even that one at the end. They slowed the story right down. That one at the end, what a stupid thing to do in a story, reveal that at least two of the characters will be ok no matter what because we've seen them. Unless the whole thing wasn't true. That fact that Jack won't die is just nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! And I agree with you AR, Locke had no problems offing Naomi but he couldn't get rid of Jack?! Please die, Jack, die!! What was with the beard?!

Loved Rose's line about punching Jack in the face! I was yelling at the screen, 'Go on, Rose!'

I knew Jin and co weren't dead cos it was off screen, so kind of obvious. Loved Hurley though! So sad for him when Sawyer said he couldn't go with them then he just turns up in his van!! Didn't want Tom to die!

Also, anybody notice that the blood on Charile (RIP) at the start when the two evil bitch-women were slapping the b'jesus out of him kept changing position on his face??!!

Sweet that Alex and French lady finally had a proper reunion. Shocked me seeing Walt again, that was cool, altough Locke I still hate.

And finally. . . Charlie!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! *much wailing*

Poor Charlie boy! Loved that they finally gave a reason for why it had to be Charlie, cos he's a musician. And I bloody knew Mikhail weren't dead! Should've shot the bugger again! Dammit!! Evil cycloptic git!!!

Why didn't Charlie try and get out though, if there was diving equipment in the hatch?! I loved all the hatch stuff in this ep more than all the other stuff, I couldn't sit still, was climbing all over the furniture like a loon, yelling at the screen and hiding behind my hands. I really hate guns, did there have to be so much gun stuff?! (Though it was cool!)

And erm. . . Kate needed a bloody good slap.

And as for who the funeral was for I thought maybe Sawyer? Or I dunno, Locke? Not sure why the Jack moron kept talking about his father like he was still alive, unless he really didn't die after all? Unless that whole flashback/forward was a dream or a flash or something. Still think it was stupid story-wise to show that Kate and Jack will be safe no matter what. That's why I can't believe it's real, can the writers be that stupid?!?!?! But then who was the 'he' that Kate was referring to? I dunno, maybe that was Sawyer.

Anyway, I'm running out of things to write. About from one more NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! For Charlie.

I suppose we don't know if it's real, the flashforward thing, I found them pretty boring when I thought they were flashbacks so I was waiting for a revelation, it was pretty nuts though!

I was looking on Lostpedia, apparently this is what can be seen on the paper that Jack ripped:

"Los Angeles, Man found.. [unreadable] downtown.. [unreadable], The body of Jo.. [unreadable] ..antham of New York was.. [unreadable] ..[shor]tly after 4 a.m. in the.. [unreadable] of Grand Avenue. So maybe the Jo is the start of John Locke? Maybe it was his funeral?

Yeah that would be funny! If it is Dharma though they kind of have a right to be mad at the Others for gassing their people...although we don't know what went on before that though, just that there were skirmishes and the Others seemed to be there first...

I think Jack had gone to the point that he was deluded and he thought his Dad was still alive. I wonder what happened on the Island that made him go that way. Good to see that Kate shuned him.

I liked the idea of flash forwards, they were only boring because they were of Jack but we're still interesting.

They take the suspense out of anything they may happen on the island regarding Jack and Kate now. That's why I don't like them.

Did you know they were going to be flashforwards? I was getting really annoyed till the end, I just thought it was Jack and his wife and the usual stuff all over again, then the ending was just *bang!* madness.

I don't really know if I want them to be real or not, I don't like the idea that Jack's guaranteed to live, and I wonder what's the story with Kate and why she's walking around looking good rather than in prison, (though at least her and Jack weren't together and she seemed very reluctant to even meet him) but if they weren't real then what would the point have been in having them at all? I don't know, I'll be watching it again later so I suppose I might have more of an idea then.

Yeah I thought it was a flashback so I knew he wouldn't jump, I was just hoping Locke would shoot him! Why so quick to kill Naomi before he even gave her a chance to put the phone down and yet he coudln't kill Jack???? I wondered if maybe it wasn't Jack in the flashes at all but a twin brother impersonating him or something, didn't think Jack would be cool enough to have a Nirvana album!

Yeah that music was so not Jack and neither was fast driving, you'd expect Jack to go at granny pace.

Locke bottled out of killing Jack but the knife in Naomi's back was pretty cool. Would have liked to see more of him and Walt though.

And yeah I wonder what else Walt said, he must have told Locke where to go, so how did he know that? And was it really him or was it a projection/apparition thing?

I found it really funny everytime Jack was trying to cry in this episode. Its been a while since they made Jack looking emotional but great to see they've did it again. One of my favourite parts is right at the end of the final Island scene, she starts crying there and I found it so funny.

Yeah, there still seemed to be some kind of connection between them but it was like she'd cut him out of her life. You would wonder why though, what happened between them to make her cut him off, and if the him she referred to was Sawyer, why she didn't want him to know she was with Jack, I never saw the Skate relationship as one where she couldn't just be honest...

Maybe Jack is responsible for something bad happening on the Island and he wants to go back to change that. Yet that something bad has gotten everyone p'd off with him and Sawyer doesn't want anything to do with him.

Everything is a stab in the dark at the moment to be honest. Just glad Kate doesn't seem to want to have anything to do with Jack in the future.

If that is the definite future....maybe it's more like Desmond's flashes, if Charlie had died any of the other times that Desmond saw then he wouldn't have been in the Looking Glass at that time, so maybe it's not definitive, maybe it's just a possible future, and something can yet change it.

Yeah maybe if someone could see the future but I doubt things would change if they couldn't. You never know Desmond might get more flashes in season 4.

Yeah, that would be good, maybe he'll start seeing things off the island, and be able to warn Jack not to do something that he'll regret/will cause problems (so maybe we can still hold out hope that Jack will die)

Kate did say something about not being able to change things, that's why I wonder if perhaps there is a chance that it isn't a definite future, maybe if they get to that point they can't change things, but where they're at in real time on the island they still can.
