Ok, just this second finished watching it! *small happy dance* Still hate Nikki and Paulo. Kinda zoned out whenever they were on screen. The end was good though! Spooky!

Thought Sun's reaction at what Charlie told her was kinda crappy though. But meh. Was an ok ep, would've been better if N and P hadn't been in it!

The episode actually sucked... Imho it's one of the worst episodes if not the worst this season. Nikki and Paulo kinda had nothing to do with anything/anybody, and there were nearly no mysteries revealed... The only thing that was good about the episode was the end, which was really cool!

Yeh, I agree with lothar. The ending was the best, and it wasn't a brilliant ep. I dont think it was the worst though, it wasn't that bad.
I cant get over that ending though! WOW!

Liked that ep... Great ending. Not my fave of the season though... definately

And at Least Nikki and Paolo are gone... i couldn't stand them, well, the way they just came from nowhere! I liked the way they showed them in the different situations from other episodes, but i still don't like them.

Liking the fact that there were no Charlie Death Predictions this episode... Lol.

Suns reaction was a bit Naff...

Not liking the way there was no Locke/Kate/Jack/Sayid bits in there.... after the end of ep 12 its cruel making us wait even longer!!!

Still can't get over the end... Awesome. Just her eyes opening. Wow.

ok so i jus saw it.i no its a bit early in the day to b wacthin it but not much else to do an i was in need of a sawyer fix. now was it jus me or wos that really quite a random mixed matched episode. ther didnt seem to b much of a semblance of a plot or any point to much of it.ok so granted th first time round i ended up watchin it in th wrong order so i was left even more confusesd but evn so after rearrangin my viewing so i got it in th rite order i hav to say im wiv dom an lothar on that it basically sucked.definatley not one of th betta episodes of th season.if it wasnt for sawyer i wouldve tuned out completly

Sawyer was one of the better characters in the episode, I'm really liking the Hurley & Sawyer friendship. You can see that they are making them two friends so that when

Sawyer and Hurley can have a similar type of friendship as Hurley did with him.

ye it did suck, a very pointless episode. the only ting that helped the plot, if it did, was the fact that sun found out about her kidnapping. nikki and paulo were pretty pointless characters, only revealed things about themselves then they died. the season could have easily continued without this episode.

Complete and utter waste of time. Sun's reaction was abysmal; And honestly an episode centred around Nikki & Paulo was never gonna hold its own. Arguably the worst episode in season 3 so far, and there's been a few howlers already.

Bits of it were really boring (the earlier flashbacks in particular), and as I learned more about them I just wanted to smash both their heads in, Paulo in the bloody hatch and everything! I just wanted to cause him pain, he's so annoying!


There were some good scenes with Hurley and Charlie and Sawyer, it's good to see Sawyer back to normal after his experiences with the Others. Agree Sun should have slapped Charlie though, the beach scenes were ok in general.

However, the end was fantastic! I was shouting at the TV, like in a really important sports match, once I knew they were still alive I was yelling "Shovel faster Hurley!" like crazy, I was so delighted to see the mound, bye bye Paulo and Nikki, forever! WhooHoo! Great death, it's the only good thing about them really!

Me too! Seriously, I was shouting at the TV, the dogs were getting freaked out and everything, I was so desperate for them to be buried, if they'd been saved it would have been the worst episode ever!

Oh yeah, if they are brought back I'll be really annoyed! They have to be dead though, there's no way they'd survive that though, they'd have been suffocated by the time Hurley and Charlie left.

Good to know I wasn't the only one that disliked those characters.

The way I see it, the episode was intended for three reasons:

1) To explain Ben's reason for going to the hatch (and that he didn't intend to get caught as a prisoner),

2) To reveal Charlie/Sawyer's secret to Sun, and

3) To kill off two characters that the writers believed were not helping the show at all. See ya, bye bye!


It was nice to see Shannon again, even if it was during one of her less-attractive (annoying) scenes.

hey I wish I cudda read your summary before I wasted my life watchin that episode haha, I thought most of it was pretty boring. Apart from the end wow ! I kept thinking we would see a hand sticking up outta the dirt, thankfully they shovelled quick, good one !
