Loved the episode.

It was the first time in a long while that I was actually interested in the flashbacks. The ending was the best part of it, although I really enjoyed the Patchy death scene and I thought Locke was outstanding.

Thats 3 really good episodes in a row and I can't wait for next weeks.

Just seen it. Kinda. . . meh. Hated Locke in this ep, just wanted Sayid to punch him out! Charlie also got on my nerves, as much as I love Charlie maybe it would be best for him to die seeing as though the writers are killing his character anyway.

Also, is Charlie that much of a bumbling idiot that he'd die everytime he tried to do something?! Yet, Desmond manages it ok!! (don't answer that, Xarca!!)

Also, wouldn't the message on the birds foot just get wet? Tis a sea bird after all!

Did like the ending with Jack though! Jack and Tom looked very friendly didn't they?!

This was yet another great episode, they really have been alot better since Lost returned, the ending was great aswell, do u think Jack has been brainwashed in that room Karl was in before, or is he just pretending to be on the others side, while he plans an escape of some sort?????

I've already posted in the rate the ep section - but thought i'd wade into this one too!!
Em- it's so true!! The first time that bird has a quick rest in the sea that note is gone! Plus, what on earth was with what Claire wrote on the note - surely "Help us , there's crazies in the jungle out to get us" would have been more realistic than pontificating on the vagaries of life and death. First change that gull gets , he's gonna peck the note off...be way too embarrassing to hang out in seagull bars with that tripe stuck to your leg.
Conversly, I loved the jungle stuff. I really like the way Locke's behaving at the moment, it's good to have one of the characters acting so unpredictable, especially as Sayid clearly seems to be suspecting him more by the minute.
Cool ending too - I noticed they cut away before Jack's inevitable tears when he fails to catch the ball though....

I did like Sayid a lot in that ep, probably why I wanted him to punch Locke so bad! And the pillar business was cool.

I didn't think that Claire/Jack would actually be related but... Omg. I can't believe it.

Mikhaels death was rather good... I didn't really want him to die, i know he's one of the others and whatnot but i think he was cool. And when Kate turned his body over i was expecting her to lift up that eyepatch... would be soooo tempting.

The ending was awesome.

havent yet seen that episode, but hope to catch it soon, sounds really good, Lost seems to be really picking up again.

Brilliant episode. I also wanted to hit Locke, well, wanted Sayid to, and Sayid seemed to be considering it! Love the idea of the sonic perimeter fence, and the way they got over it, and the ending was fantastic, Kate thinks' Jack is running and then he just catches the ball. I don't think he was brianwashed, just that he's making the best of things. And relating to the Others in a more human way as he did get to know them better than Sawyer and Kate while they were on the hydra island.

I wondered as well why they didn't wrap the note in plastic, thought the note itself was a bit schmaltzy, much too long as well, don't think they should have put stuff on the note about the Others though as it might have been taken as a practical joke then!

Poor Charlie, I don't think they're making him a bumbling idiot so much as that the idea is that if Death is after you it'll find a way to get you...I still wonder why he sees Charlie's death and didn't forsee Eko's - unless maybe Charlie isn't meant to die after all, that it's a sort of blip and Desmond has to keep him alive for a particular purpose or soemething.

Great episode, and loved the flashbacks, I really wanted them to be related but didn't think they would, I liked Claire a lot better as she was in the flashbacks, would be good if she got more like that again! Think the flashbacks did develop her character a lot more too.

it was a cool episode but has left me so mad! firstly claire get a grip love like the message on a birds leg is gonna work y dnt u send 1 out in a bottle 1! secondly, locke, i wish u had gone through that barrier instead of over it! lastly, jack! jack my friend wat the hell r ya doin! i can only ope it is part of ur plan to free evryone and that u aint becomin one of them lol....well i can hope :-S
