What was happening to Carl?! That bit was just weird! The most interesting part of the whole episode though, I thought. I still don't like Juliet.

I still don't like her but I understand her a lot better.

I think the Carl thing was a bit like Clockwork Orange, or some form of torture, overexposure of the senses which could eventually render him completely incapacitated. Nasty. Don't think Ben likes the idea of his little girl growing up and having a boyfriend!

I really enjoyed the flahsbacks, the sinister presence of the others, the bus (very much like final destination), learning more about Juliet's speciality and making sense of the title I've known for so long!

Interesting that she was recruited, and I'm not sure how, but they arranged the bus thing, they had to have had a hand in it, good to see ethan again(bit chubby and jowly this time!), suggests they put a lot of effort into getting Juliet there so in spite of what Ben said I don't think they'll be letting her leave any time soon.

Good to see Alex again, it's funny, in some ways she's just an average rebellious teen, it's just that what she is rebelling against is so strange! And Ben certainly seems fond and protective of her.

Delighted Danny is dead, he annoyed me and I don't like potential Sawyer-killers running around loose. I wonder what will happen to Jack, I got the impression before this episode that Ben would have liked him to stay and presumably help with their research but after what happened in the operating room that might not be on the cards. All the same he is a main character so I don't think they'll kill him off, but I bet he has an unpleasant time ahead!

I wonder how long it will take Kate and Sawyer to row around to the beach where the rest of them are and if they'll see the statue again while they do? The fact they didn't realise there was another island means that it's nowhere near their bit of coastline so they'll have to go for quite a while. Carl seems like he might be a good additional character too, much better than bloody paulo and nikki.

I wonder where they're going to take it from here? (I haven't read any spoilers) - the hatch is gone, the others are less of a mystery and presumably less of a threat now, so what next? learn more about the monster? eyepatch guy? danielle? Am looking forward to seeing where they take it from here.

The bus bit cracked me up!!

Yep, can't wait to see more of Carl, definately rather see him than Paulo or Nikki!! Do you think that Walt went through that weird room thingy like Carl did? That's why he was so scared about going 'back in the room?'

interesting, I don't know, that's a good point, no wonder he was so freaked out! it would make a lot of sense. Horrible room, even Sawyer was really drawn in by the stuff on the tv, though Kate wasn't so much so.

Could lead to brainwashing too I'd say, if you get someone into a state of total brain exhaustion then you can manipulate them a lot more easily - it's one of the ways cults work, they make people tired by tellign them they need to meditate or purify or whatever and then when they're really strung out they plant the ideas in their heads. then again, with Carl it might have been as simple as "you shall NOT deflower Ben's daughter..."

I really did like it, after the disappointment of Tale of Two cities after the last wait I was trying not to get my hopes up but this one did impress me. I'm sure I'll come up with more stuff too to comment on (I always forget stuff), but I got through a lot of it above.

Lol. Was good though - Alex was pouring her heart out, then he comes out with "I must sleep now" hehe
Great episode, especially seeing more of Alex + Carl!
