News on Dom and EvaAccording to reports in the last few days it seems that Dominic Monaghan and Evangeline Lilly are planning to get married next summer.from http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00005554.html Talk is heating up that Evangeline Lilly and boyfriend Dominic Monaghan plan to get married next summer. The couple, both are co-stars in ABC's "Lost", have been trying to keep their romance private to avoid too much pressure on their relationship. On the wedding report, a family member does confirm they are about to get married by next summer, saying "They decided the time was right and are very much in love. It will be a summer wedding." I say congrats to them (although a year is a long time in showbiz so who knows what will happen), they seem to be a great couple, they aren't into playing all those press-games, they just get on with doing their own thing and haven't let the fame go to their heads. *don't shoot me Smiley, I'm just the messenger!* |

Apparently there is a new genre of gay fanfiction that has really taken off since the scenes between Frodo and Sam in Lord of the Rings - new because it is aimed at women rather than at gay men.
Personally i think it has more to do with a very deep kind of friendship that doesn't exist anymore in today's macho, beer-swilling sulture - the bond which used to exist betwen men who have to trust each other completely on a field of battle must be very deep and loads of poetry and novels have been written on the subject. It is often deeper than the love between these men and their wives because when you have to rely on someone for your life that forms a really strong bond, you are at your weakest and also at you strongest because you have to accept help. it is pretty sexy too though |
