Michelle Rodriguez to spend time in prisonFormer Lost actress Michelle Rodriguez has been sentenced to six months in jail for violating probation stemming from a string of driving offences.
The star, who played Ana-Lucia in the hit TV drama, lied about completing community service, a spokesman for the Los Angeles city attorney said.
She also drank alcohol three times while wearing a monitoring device.
The actress, who also appeared in The Fast and the Furious and Resident Evil, must report to jail by Christmas Eve.
A message on her official website said: "Yes, it's true. But Michelle is Michelle, so no worries. Check back."
She did file a document that said she completed community service on 25 September, but we obtained evidence that she was in New York that day

In 2004, the 29-year-old pleaded no contest to three offences, including hit-and-run and drink-driving, in Los Angeles.
She was sentenced to two days in prison, ordered to perform community service and put on probation for three years.
She violated that probation the following year when she was arrested on another drink-driving charge in Hawaii.
On that occasion, she was sentenced to 60 days in jail, but served less than a day because of overcrowding.
She was also ordered to have alcohol rehabilitation treatment for 30 days, do 30 days of community service and stay on probation until June 2009.
But it has emerged that she did not comply with these conditions.
She "admitted violation of her probation by failing to provide proof of community service and by consuming alcohol three times while wearing an alcohol monitoring device", Los Angeles city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan said.
"She did file a document that said she completed community service on 25 September, but we obtained evidence that she was in New York that day," he said.
Rodriguez's website says the actress is due to spend six weeks filming James Cameron's new science fiction adventure Avatar alongside Sigourney Weaver from October.
