Lost Ratings in AmericaI know most of the members here are not in the States but the ratings over there is everything - if they drop too much it could jeopardise the show. Info on ratings for Not in Portland below.
From SciFi Wire
ABC's SF drama Lost returned from a two-month hiatus to a new 10 p.m. Wednesday timeslot on Feb. 7 and won the hour among adults, drawing 14.7 million viewers and a 6.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic, according to The Hollywood Reporter. But CBS' CSI: NY prevailed among total viewers, with 15.8 million and a 4.9 rating, the trade paper reported.
The new episode of Lost vastly improved ABC's fortunes in the 10 p.m. timeslot, but was off its season average for its first seven installments in viewers (16.7 million). It was solid on the 18-49 demographic and posted its second-highest ratings among adults aged 18-34. NBC's Medium (8.3 million viewers and a 2.8 rating) felt the brunt of the heightened 10 p.m. competition.

Thats still good I guess, but its no where near as high as it used to be! I dont understand whats happening. . . what was the point in watching season 1 + 2, then dropping out half way through! Every1 is complaining about not getting answers, but when we finally do get a decent few, hardly anybody watched it! - although 14.7 is still quite high!

Yeah it's not bad, I don't understand it either except that maybe americans are fickle. Still, as long as they don't keep falling it's fine, it's only a problem really if they keep falling.

I know a few people who say they gave up watching it beacuse there were so few questions answered. But what would be the point of having a long running drama that poses questions then answers them all within the hour?!!!

exactly, and a lot of questions have been answered in recent times, but they might not know that as they gave up watching!

I found abit surprising when i heard the figures were dropping in america, but then again the 10pm timeslot is always a difficult one to pull the viewers in, due to competition i suppose.
