Yeah I heard this on the news before I went to bed last night, really shocked me, he was never the type to court the "celebrity lifestyle". They don't seem sure yet whether it was accidental or suicide. Real shame, he was a good actor from what I saw in Brokeback Mountain.

I was on work experience when it happened (at the army - cut off from the world ...) but no one thought to tell me when I got back!

I only found out last week & was devasted! I think it's so sad - but I wonder whether it was suicide or just a mistake ...

I saw on the news clips from his funeral and on that they said it was sleeping pill overdose by mistake, unless they're just trying to cover the suicide up ...

Seems like they think it was a mistake, but we might never know for sure, as you say if it was suicide they might not want that getting out.

That's rough only finding out now! Sad

Apparently he was taking a load of prescription drugs, none of them would have been lethal on their own but according to the news he just combined too many of them at the same time...

and there was no suicide note, which apparently also means that the person actually did want to commit suicide and not be found - according to someone I know, if you leave a note, you want to be found ... anyone else heard that or is my friend talking crazy?!

I don't know about that.... seems like pretty skewed logic, but then I guess you'd have to be screwed up at the time to be considering it in the first place.

I think they ruled accidental death with Heath Ledger rather than suicide, I think it came out in the news last week.

Ehm, it depends a lot on the circumstances, what the note says, where it is left, that kind of thing, there's no one explanation that fits all, suicide is a complicated area!

I haven't seen Brokeback Mountain, but I really liked '10 things i hate about you', even though I usually hate romantic-comedies.

My favourite part is the bit when he's singing the Andy Williams song on the football field, loved that!

i was apsolutely gutted when i found out that heath ledger had died, he was such a talented actor and will be sadly missed by a lot of people

LONDON (Reuters) - Jude Law will appear as Heath Ledger's character, along with Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell, in the unfinished film "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus", Law's spokeswoman said on Monday.

They will all play the role of Tony in the fantasy film which Ledger had been filming before his death.

The 28-year-old Australian, who was nominated for an Oscar for "Brokeback Mountain", was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on January 22, after an accidental overdose of six prescription drugs.

It was not immediately clear how the role will be reconstructed for three actors.

Shooting for the movie, directed by Terry Gilliam, had just finished in London and had moved to Vancouver, Canada, before it was suspended on the news of Ledger's death.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is described as a fantastical morality tale about a travelling theatre company which can control the imagination of others.

Law has a string of film credits to his name including the remake of "Alfie, "Cold Mountain" and "The Talented Mr Ripley".

Depp, who has been nominated for an Oscar three times, is currently attracting rave reviews for his role in "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street".

Irishman Farrell has appeared in "Pride and Glory", "Veronica Guerin" and "American Outlaws".

That's pretty cool . I like Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell...not so sold on Jude Law, hopefully he's got a smaller part....

Johnny Depp is great though, and Colin Farrell's ok. I'd say they'd do the part justice.
