Flashbacks?Just thought this would be interesting. . .
I think the flashbacks are a crucial part of the show, and theres still alot we dont know about the characters, so I'd prefer longer flashbacks - as long as they arent Jacks. . .
I do like the island stories, but if they spend too long focusing on the island, and only having a few minutes worth of flashbacks in an episode, then things may become a bit repetitive on the island, and I do enjoy finding more about each of the characters, and how the crash had changed them.
I think the episodes should have an equal amount of island/flashback time, then everything has chance to be explained.
So, do you like the way the episodes are set out already, or would you prefer more/less time spent on the flashbacks?

I think it's ok how it is now. If there was too many flashbacks, people would moan, if there were too little people would moan! Although I know what you mean. They should make the flashbacks more interesting, they tend to focus too much on the same events (Claire being pregnant, Charlie on drugs, Jack being Jack) They must've had other things happen to them in their lives?!

If they move onto other interesting moments in the characters lives, then i'd like to see longer flashbacks, but if its just another event to do with another one of their flashbacks, then its pretty pointless, and they shouldn't waste the screen time on it.
It'd be nice to see different parts of their lives - we have only had one off island flashback from Claire, and we've been waiting for ages to find out more about her, but her next flashback, will probably just be about her pregnancy again. There are alot of interesting characters, and like you said, they were bound to have other big events happen to them, so why cant we find out about them!

Exactly! I think we should work on the show, we'd tell 'em how it was meant to be done!

See, i'm pretty fickle on this one. Some flashbacks just bore me (Jack/Sun-Jin/Rose-Bernard) and I end up skipping through them, but some are really interesting.
I think it depends on whether the flashbacks reveal anything we don't know about a character - for instance we didn't know Sawyer had a kid until his last flashback, but when they just reiterate what we already know (Jack's wife doesn't like him much - and who can blame her!) then they are rather dull.

Yeah, I wouldn't even mind a Jack flashback if it was in interesting one, but him and his wife/father has been overdone at this stage. I like the others, no one else's really annoys me, but I wouldn't like to see less or more of them in the show, There has to be a balance between the flashbacks and the action, i think that's just the way Lost works.

i like the flashbacks the way they are, although i would prefer it if they weren't left on cliff hangers because then we have to wait about 12 episodes until the next one!
