I liked season 2 finale better, at the time I thought the season 1 finale was, like, omigod, but by the time the season 2 one came around I knew they would leave a whole lot of questions unanswered so i was able to enjoy it more.

i loved the season 2 finale it was sooooooooooo good but i also really liked the season 1 finale as well...dammit why can i never make a decision? lol

Definately season 2, so much happened in that episode compared to season 1 finale!!

I agree. The first season finale was a "wow can't wait till next season" type. Season 2's though was the "OMG! I CAN"T WAIT ANY LONGER THAN NEXT WEEK FOR A NEW EPISODE" type of reaction. I had serious Lost withdraw after season 2.

Both were great, but if I had to choose, season 1. The whole opening the hatch thing was really cool.

I liked the season 1 finalke best too. I had read a few spoilers about the season 2 finale, so it was as shocking as I found the first 1. Both were awsome though.
