Interesting, he could be, that would make sense in a way, that he took over the button hatch during the purge, before Desmond came, would show why he wasn't afraid of the supposed disease, nice theory Jen!

If Kelvin was an other why was he trying to get off the island? DOesnt matter now anyway - he's dead

maybe he wasn't trying to get off the island though, I still strongly beleive that he led Desmond out of the hatch that day, he wanted to be followed, so maybe he had another reason for that and he wasn't working on the boat....although Ben seemed surprised to learn about the existence of the boat so maybe that disproves the theory...
