Doctor WhoI thought we had a doctor who topic here but I can't see it, anyway, the finale is next week and it looks like it's going to be good....
In the latest series, I like Martha, I didn't expect to but she's a totally different character to Rose, and she and the Doctor have a very different chemistry. A few episodes have disappointed but in general it's been good, and the last two have been excellent. I like the references that are thrown in now as well, they did it with Bad Wolf in the first series, and Torchwood in the second, this time around it's been "Saxon" and now that all makes sense. Great to see John Simm? from Life on mars in a different role as well, he's excellent as The Master.

Yeah he's a great doctor, there's no rumours yet about who will replace him but it would need to be someone really good!

Yeah, soon as I hear anything I'll post it! There'll probably be all sorts of rumours flying around for a while before anything true emerges though....

I've only seen him in one thing, a couple of years ago, a sort of period drama, he was good enough from what I remember but I wouldn't have thought he'd be picked as the next doctor for it!

Nope, neither did I! Although David Tennant wasn't too well-known before he was picked, and he did alright!

i checked the net and the period drama he was in also starred billie piper! thought that was interesting!

Yeah it was Ruby in the Smoke. Which I only watched cos it's written by Phillip Pullman. That's a series too, though don't know if they're making the others.

They made the second one, it was on last year...don't know if they made another as I don't have the English TV stations since the aerial decided to stop working!

You might be able to get it on the BBC website? It was the last two years, but I haven't heard anything about it since...but Billie Piper was pregnant so maybe they took a year off?

Ah right yeah maybe! I'm just waiting for Tin Princess, which is the last book. And the best. Though Billie Piper's character's not in that one.
