omg this was an awesome episode! the others sure know how to con a person poor sawer! im not sure if i believed the others when they said they had put in a pacemaker but i was still shocked when ben said it wasn't real. who else is hating ben at the moment he is sooooo creepy....and the poor rabbit!!! even though it was given a sedative being shaked around like that must have frightened it to death!
and kate saying she loves sawer but then saying she only said it to stop pickett from beating him up...did you see the look on sawers face he was gutted...but i still think that she loves him because surely if she didn't she would have escaped but she stayed when sawyer said he wasn't going...she has got to love him either that or she is completely insane for wanting to stay there.
thanks for putting up with my ramblings lmao

Delighted Coleen is dead
Amazed at second island - it begs the questions though, how did they get the polar bears across to the main island? And is the Others's real base (their little village) on this island or the main one ? i'd say the main one as Ethan and Goodwyn set off running.
Makes perfect sense that they have a sub - shows how Ethan came from the water that time, and how Coleen+co got to the boat without getting wet . Excellent twist!
Poor Sawyer....he seemed to spend the whole episode getting kicked and punched around the place. Nasty trick to play on him about the pacemaker.
And we do know now for sure that he really does love Kate, and although she told him she just said she loved him too to stop Pickett hitting him the fact she went back in the cage I think suggests that she loves him as well ,in spite of him saying that if she loved him she would go.
Bloody B******* playing that siren while they led jack to coleen, so he wouldn't knwo Kate+Sawyer were nearby, though he did hear Sawyer on the intercom so he knows they are around somewhere.
Reallyhating Ben now, he's way worse than anythign Sayid and Ana did to hm at this stage, psychological torture is much more complex than physical, poor sawyer!
Some great lines - like "Haven't you read of mice and men- you'd like it, puppies die"
I wonder whether even in all their anguish over Coleen's fate they left the x'rays of the spine out deliberately for Jack to see? And who do we think has the spinal tumour? is this why they have the full file on Jack, and maybe not on the rest of them? They needed his skills? Is it Ben? Tom? Pickett? Someone else we haven't seen yet? Jack said a man of around 40. and judging by what he said about the size of the tumour there isn't logn before he's going to have to operate.
As for the flashback, so we know Sawyer has a daughter, which i found to eb the best revelation - I must say i figured from the outset that he and the warden were workign together, didn't know it was for the FBi or whatever but it was kind of obvious after seeing a few Sawyer episodes before. Good though and interesting that he has a kid that we presume he has never met.
As for Desmond, good to know that he has figured out he can see the future - that'll be handy when he, Locke, Sayid and a few more go off and try to mount a rescue - "Des - which way will they be watching?" "this way" "ok we'll go that way then" lol lol lol gona be hard without a boat now though as we know its a diff island they're on.
Poor Charlie is getting all territorial over Claire again as well, I don't think he needs to do that but anywya, he'll settle down.
I think we learned somethign important in an offhand comment as well - Juliet's that she was a fertility specialist - because that confirms suspicion that there is a problem with fertility for the Others and might start to explain why they take children. They have no proper doctor but a fertility specialist, shows how important it is for them. Also wonder when and where she trained - was she born and reared on the island or did she join/was she coerced to join as they seem to intend to do with jack?
I also think they were trying to get us to feel a bit sorry for her when she inssisted to Jack that she was equal to ben and then he told her what to do, but it'll take more than that for me!
great episode all round, can't bear to think abhout the fact there's only two till after xmas, aahh!

This episode had lots of action in it and showed a lot about Sawyer that we didn't know already. Althought it didn't seem like anything new, what they did show about Sawyer's current dilemma and his flashback give us a new look at his character as he really is: more James Ford, than Sawyer - a person who drives those he cares about away. Probably because of his vendetta against the real Sawyer who conned his parents when he was just a child. He fears that his quest for revenge will hurt those he cares about and he would rather push people away then let anyone get close to him. He knows that he could never be a father and his relationships are doomed to failure because of his emotional insecurities. Also, I thought the scenes with Kate were great too. He does care about her, obviously, as he does his daughter. He never did tell her what they did to him out of fear the Others would harm her. I still can't believe he left her 10 million! And something else I thought was interesting...he left it in a bank in Albequerque, New Mexico. Could that be the same bank Kate robbed back in when she wanted to get Tom's plane back? Crossovers!
There was a great parallel where Jack and Juliet are talking, much like how Locke and Henry were talking in the Hatch last season, and despite their firm statements ("We make decisions together." Pfft.) that there wasn't a heirarchy; there was, and Jack/Henry both knew it.
I personally liked Hurley's comment to Desmond while he was building the lightning rod, "Is it art?" Yeah, thanks for the small shout out to art majors. I thought it was great they are keeping to showing Dez's new ablities so soon after they ended the last show.
The ending revelation that the Others are better conmen was cool. It definately left a bad vibe and I thought this is only going to piss Sawyer off even more, and he's got a growing list of Other's on his hit list. The ending also was confusing. What I thought was odd was that they showed another Island, or the one we thought we were on to begin with. If you remember, in the Season 3 Ep. 1, they showed the plane crashing over the same Island the Others community was on. This could explain the sub Ben mentioned, the Galaga I think its called so they could have transported them back while the trio were drugged.

lots there matt, nicely spotted about the bank in albaquercky (sp?) could be a connection, i really enjoyed the episode and yeah I think they did bring them across while they were drugged, it makes sense, unless they are lying yet again.
