I'm talking grown-up cartoons here.

Which do people like best:

The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama South Park, American Dad, or soemthing else?

I've always loved the Simpsons but it has gotten a bit tired lately, I think Family Guy rocks and though it might never have existed without the Simpsons i think it has surpassed it, maybe because it doesn't aim itself toward children as well which means it can get away with way more. I still love the Simpsons and always will, fave character is Lisa, but I love Family guy more now.

American Dad, by the creator of Family Guy, look slike it could be even better in time but I've only seen the first series so far so it's too early, it'll take a while to really judge it.

I never liked Futurama as much as the others, I saw what it was trying to do and it was a great concept but I just felt it missed a bit more often than it hit. Bender is cool though.

I like South Park and especially enjoyed the movie, but I think in the series they do get a bit too juvenile a bit too often with the humour. ( By the way, anyone in Ireland think our minister for Health Mary Harney resembles the big fat bitch who ate all the food meant for the Ethiopian children? Seriously?)

Anyway, vote please, and if there's one I've left out please tell me about it!

The simpsons is the best TV show ever made in my opinion, sliding a little these past couple of years but so many of characters I can relate to and I guess that's why it was/is so popular. I used it alot as an escapism, sounds sad, but it's true.
The only cartoon TV show I've cried my eyes out to. (Lisa's crush on Mr Berkstrum killed me)

I however voted for Futurama, basically for the classic characters, the humour, and..gotta be said..Dr Zoidberg. My favourite cartoon TV show character ever. I love him.

South Park, a little too extreme for me, American Dad, I've never really gotten into it, and Family guy, I watch from time to time but not really a fan. Brian is amazing tho.

One that should be mention as it is a close 3rd to my top choices is "King of The Hill" AMAZING show, loved it at age 10, love it now.

Yeah, always did, love to dance in a kind of mock-headbanging way to the theme tune as well! It's the whole neighbourhood that's the stars of the show, not just Hank and family, think that's what makes it so good!

Yep that's in my favourite theme songs too.
I liked the neighbourhood too so typical redneck but it's so interesting.
There's an episode with Green Day in and I just crack up everytime Laughing

haven't seen that one, they stopped showing it here and I never got around to buying the dvd, must try get the box set for xmas or soemthing, green day + king of the hill = a great watch (especially over xmas with a big fire and a big jug of mulled wine...)

I like that site, just had a quick look, will go back and watch soem episodes though, I love the net, there is so much great stuff out there and i especially love it when it's free (i'm such a cheapskate)

Anyone else have an opinion on this? So far it's a two-way tie for the lead between the Simpsons and Family Guy.

I see Family Guy have a game out, not sure what it's like or what you're supposed to do but it could be interesting

I hate Family Guy, I know ever1 thinks its a rip off The Simpsons - and it truly is lol Razz

I don't think family guy would exist if it wasn't for the simpsons and there are a lot of similarities (namely a big fat dad and a wife way too good for him) so in that sense it is a rip off but the humour itself is very different, family guy is clearly aimed at a much older audience, and I just love it

i don't really like family guy to be honest and i definitely agree that it wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the simpsons---they are much better
