best decade for musicWhat do people think the best decade for music has been?
fifties was the generation of elivis and rock'n'roll beginning, plus we still had the rat pack (sinatra, martin etc)
there's a lot of good stuff from the sixties like the Doors and the Stones and the Kinks,
the seventies was when Bowie started to take off and the beginning of the punk era but there was some awful rubbish too (beegees and abba to name just two)
i don't like the electrosynth pop of the eightees but bands like Metallica and Guns'n'roses are the other side of that coin, plus you can't forget Madness
the nineties was my era with bands like smashing pumpkins, nirvana, radiohead, no doubt and blur but it was also the decade of take that, boyzone and the spicegirls.
then we have the naughties, six years in there are soem great up-andcomign bands out there but it is also the era of the despicable popidol, xfactor etc.
for me it's a toss up between the sixties and the nineties but I've goen with the nineties as I was able to see some of the bads of this era in concert and i really felt part of it
