Best Comedy (american)If I've missed any that you think should be in here then let me know or if you're a mod edit them in yourself (I'm only counting things that have run for two or more series, that's why my name is earl isn't included, it hasn't proven itself properly yet after just one season)
I'd have to say it's a three way tie for me between friends, scrubs and frasier but scrubs just edges it, it's both laugh-out-loud funny and there's poignant moments, plus there's subtle jokes and long-running gags.

For me, it has to be scrubs, i havent been watching it for that long, but its 1 awsome show! That reminds me, i still havent watched garden state! Friends is great too, so that comes in as a close second, and my third has to be married with children! And for those that dont already know, Peggy is Helen from Lockes flashbacks

The janitor really is brilliant, the whole show is fantastic! Scrubs seems to be the clear leader so far (no other show has any votes) anyone else have an opinion?

i love scrubs too but my favourite definatly has to be friends i just love it! i can watch an episode loads and still find it funny thats why it is still so popular!

Yeah, they do stand up to reruns very well, even when you know what's going to happen you still fidn yourself laughing!

I don't really like American comedies that much! I can't stand Friends! If I had to pick one of those it'd be Malcolm in the Middle. Hang on, I'll just vote for that . . .

Love Dr Cox and Dr Kelso!! Although a lot of other characters on Scrubs irritate me - particularly Elliot

Lol I actually like Elliot she's very air-headed, theres no one I don't like in scrubs from tha main cast. The high 5 guy (todd I think) used to get on my nerves but I quite like him now. Dr Cox is the star of the show for me though, the amount of girls names he calls JD is hillarious.

Oh yeah, Cox is the star without a doubt, he made the show his own right othe start, Elliot anoys me when she gets whiney but the rest of the time I think she's pretty funny. The janitor is a stroke of genius.

Watched Season 6 Episode 6 (the musical one) the other day and I was laughing so hard I fell off my seat 3 times. I can't believe I've only been watching this show for 4 or 5 months, its great.

For me it is EASILY Friends. This progam is funny on soo many levels and Chandler is just emmence. I have a list of all of his best quotes. Around 100 of them. If anyone wants them, just PM me. I was really sad when this finished but i have watched every episode like 10 times

I voted for Seinfeld, because i watched it religiously and had so many good laughs from it!! Friends would have been my second choice, and another show that makes me laugh heaps is Everybody loves Raymond, i thought that was pretty good.
