I think shes either been told about theunpleasant stuff thats gunna be happening. Or shes been given a difficult decision to make (maybe choosing between jack and sawyer). And thats why shes so upset.
As for what the unpleasant 2 weeks.. i cant think what it might be.

I think they will be subjected to tests of some kind, perhaps like Walt was, perhaps to see if they are worthy of joining th Others, perhaps to see if they are worthy to stay on the island, or even stay alive. I wonder whether Kate woudl have been placed in the underwater hatxch with Jack had she said his name first?

Thats a really good point actually, Ben did seem quite intrigued that she said Saywer first, i never really thought that's why she might have been placed in the cage next to sawyer, i suppose as always, we'll have to wait and see :]

I think we got a sense of why the two weeks will be so unpleasant in the Glass Ballerina, but the work they had Sawyer and Kate doing seemed pretty pointless, I mean, breaking up rocks? why?
Was it a test to see how long before they rebelled, or which one would rebel, or if they woudl try to talk to each other? I have a feeling the whole situation was set up for a purpose - the Others seem to be pretty up to date with modern technology so why woudl they need people to do this kind of work?
