I'd never heard of this, but checked it out because apparently it's being acused of being a Harry Potter rip-off. Rolling Eyes

Just looks like any other fantasy film to me really. Percy is an absolutely ridiculous name for a teenage boy.

Hmm, looks like a bit of a rip-off kids film to me, the sort they release at half term to cash in on the bored kids and frazzled parents! Laughing

It's directed by whoever did the Harry Potter films, so obviously it's gonna look the same. I've never heard of it!

Well, harry Potter was hardly an original idea in itself... *yawn* I'm sure the kids will think it's great, and being accused of being a rip off will generate extra publicity for it! Laughing

Ok, just realised it's called Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief. Not Percy Jackson: Lightening Thief. Laughing Very Harry Potter title.

All the names in Harry Potter are ridiculous too though. I mean, I didn't know anybody called Harry before Harry Potter came out.

There's one actress I can think of called Hermione. I thought Harry was a common British name?

Yeah there's Hermione Norris, the actress. Harry's a posh name I reckon! I don't know any Harrys.

One of them... maybe. The other two are related to the landlord of the local pub and are definitely not posh! Laughing

Well there you go then, two are after Harry Potter! It wasn't very common before Harry Potter is what I'm saying.
