So what did everyone think?
I quite liked it, it was random and funny, although I think some of the supporting characters are going to irritate me - the best mate is really annoying, I hope she's not in it too often.
I reckon I'm going to stick with it, but I really hope that was an extended 1st episode, it went on a bit too long!

It was waaaaaay too long for me, I got bored and went to bed before the end! Laughing Nothing happened. They could've cut 30 mins of footage out and it wouldn't have made any difference. The characters were dull. Bill the vampire had all the charisma of a potato.

I think the episodes are all the same length, 55 mins or so instead of the usual 42 for US shows. I'm used to it because of the Sopranos and stuff, but with lots of ad breaks it's probably really long.... I think the first show seems like it drags on a bit because they're introducing everyone who's going to be in it, they pick the pace up a bit later. They tend to have a cliffhanger sort of ending for each episode.

I like Tara way better than Sookie! Laughing Bill definitely improves after a few episodes though, I wasn't impressed with him at the start at all either but he gets better.

Took me ages to realise who the brother was, it's the guy who played Vinnie in Home and Away years ago! Laughing

I was trying to work out where I'd seen him before too! Couldn't have been Home & Away though cos I don't watch that. Confused I know Sookie is Rogue in Xmen.

I've no idea where I've seen him before then. I recognised him though. I'm not gonna watch it again, went on far too long for my tiny attention span and it wasn't actually about anything!

Laughing I almost always hate pilot episodes though, they're never about anything! I definitely think it picks up, but oh well....maybe we'll find another show we can all watch!

See, I thought that, it's a pilot ep it'll get better. But Lost's pilot ep was good, Being Human's pilot ep was good. That's no excuse for that episode being about nothing! Especially seeing as it went on so long. Was as long as a film and films have to introduce characters and have a storyline!

What other TV shows are there that haven't been on for ages?!

I hated Lost's pilot ep to be honest, I thought it wasn't done very well, like it was all about the explosions and stuff, it was only toward the end I thought it got good...if I hadn't persevered with that I'd probably never have found watchlost.com and we'd all never have met! Laughing

I don't know, haven't heard anything about any other shows recently, except that flashforward thing....

If I don't like the first episode I see of something I never watch it again! Laughing All the shows I like, The OC, Farscape, Sea of Souls, Buffy, Lost, Being Human, Robin Hood (that's all the show I've watched ever I think! Laughing) I've liked from just seeing one ep.

Have you seen Flashforward yet? It was ok, just didn't grab me. I might watch again cos I feel left out of having stuff to watch! Laughing

No, didn't watch it yet, I don't feel that motivated to watch it, but it might be worth a go. Just so we have something we can all talk about! Laughing

Most shows I don't see from the start, if I like a random ep then I keep watching it, or I used to...now if I see a random ep I like I go find it and watch from the start. But generally I don't like pilot episodes.

That's what I was like with Buffy, caught it towards the end, series 6 or something and watched it from there through to the end. I don't think I've ever seen the first ep of that! Laughing Being Human I caught from the second half of the first ep and watched from there (though I've got it on DVD so I've seen it all now.)

I don't think i ever saw the first Buffy either! Started during the second or third series of that. Then caught some random episodes from earlier series, it was on two channels at the same time I think, Irish channel tv3 and BBC2, I think BBC were way ahead but TV3 were showing it from the start (though I missed the first few eps! Laughing )

I quite like watching box sets though, if I've never seen something, we'd watch a load of episodes in one night!

See I can't do that! Laughing No patience!! I've started watching my OC boxsets again, but I've just been sticking on random eps every now and then!
