Anyone watch this? It's a Doctor Who spin-off starring Captain Jack Harkness. I saww the first two episodes last week and really enjoyed it (i don't have BBC3 so I have to wait till wednesdays on BBC2) and am relly looking forward to tonight's episode. the guy who plays Captain Jack is pretty damn hot and the other characters seem good too.
It's aimed at more of an adult audience than Doctor Who so there is some bad language and reference to matters of a sexual nature (though it's still BBC at 9pm so it's not exactly hardcore lol)
I'd recommend it from what I've seen so far - It's got aliens and great technology, good characters, funny and insightful dialogue and good-looking actors in the lead roles plus some nifty special effects...everything you want from Science Fiction

Torchwood is progressing well, probably not everyone's cup of tea but I like it, might appeal to fans of Buffy as there's a lot of humour in there, and plenty of sexual politics as well. Anyone else seen it? I must say as well that the guy who plays Ianto is kinda cute, but John Barrowman who plays captain Jack Harkness is pretty good looking.

wow, cool! I really enjoyed it, lookign forward to the new series, it's great that it can get away with being more adult than doctor who, and I love the sesxual innuendo all the time, hilarious. Plus John Barrowman is pretty good looking.

I'd recommend it - I saw some bad reviews as well but I think you have to rememebr that the job of critics is to critisise - and I bet a lot of them would give up their jobs in a flash if they were offered the chance to write a TV show, so a lot of it is jealousy. That's my opinion anyway!

Doctor Who is one of the ultimate all time sci fi shows, but Torchwood is different, it doesn't' have all that to live up to, it'll take time to develop the characters, but as it's for adults I think it could be as good as Dr Who in time. I loved series one, and can't wait for it to be back on.

It's more grown up, because of the time Doctor Who is shown at and the audience it therefore receives, it wouldn't get away with the more adult themes that Torchwood does. I love them both though.

Same here. So the question is now, who's sexier David Tennant or John Barrowman?

Barrowman for me, I like David Tennant as the doctor, but I don't find him particularly attractive, but Barrowman is a different story, he's got a sexiness in his swagger and 1940's style clothes!

A few days ago I would say David Tennant, because he's my type of guy and he seems to have an amazing personality. But I watched 8 out of 10 cats and John did this "RAWR!" thing, hard to explain, but it was so darn adorable that I've fallen inlove shame he's gay...and married. lol.
