The flashforwards

Right, I figure this deserves its own topic.

Do we think it was real, like a definite future? This is down the line for Jack and Kate?

Or was it a potential future, like Desmond's flashes? Something that might happen, depending on events?

If it's real, why does Jack think is father is alive? He may have been drunk and doped up on pills, but still, that's a pretty big delusion to be under....

What unfinished business does Jack want to go back for? Do all the Losties not make it off the island, or does he feel bad for Dharma/whoever Naomi was working for finding the place and maybe getting revenge on the Others? Blame himself because Ben told him that would happen?

Whose funeral was it? It was in a black neighbourhood, does that suggest it might have been Michael or Walt? Or does the bit of the note that can be seen (well, the bit I posted from Lostpedia in the official discussion thread) suggest that it's John Locke's funeral? If it's him why did he leave the island when he didn't want to?

I read somewhere else actually that it was Michael's funeral, but then why wasn't Walt there?!
