Anyone here into tennis? i tend to watch Wimbledon when it's on, I have been since I was a kid, used to watch Martina Navratilova (I'm showing my age now) and Steffi Graf, I always preferred the women's to the men's, but I like watching the men's now as well. Used to watch it then go out and hit a ball against a wall for hours on end, determined to be a great tennis star myself one day (I was only about 7 at the time)
Of the current crop of players I like Serena Williams and Raphael Nadal, I simply cannot stand Federer, don't even know why, he just bores me when I watch him. Good to seee him beaten in the French Open at least but I'd say he's a good shot of winning on the grass court in Wimbledon.

I used to like Tennis at one point, but now it just bores the hell out of me. I can't stand Andrew Murray but I like Hewitt even if he is an Aussie.

From an Irish point of view I think it's hilarious that one minute Murray was "that young scot" and then when he started to do better than Henman it was "The rising British star Andrew Murray" !!

Yeah, can't stand the bloke, has a big ego and always blames tiredness for defeats. Did like Henman at some point but he should just retire now.

Man I was so bad at Tennis, which is weird because I was always pretty good at cricket and badminton. Badminton is a far better sport!

You would say that since you were better at it though of course!
I played badminton very briefly when I was 11 and they had it in the hall in the village I lived in then, was pretty short lived though as we moved. I enjoyed it though.
I don't understand the first thing about cricket, it's not really big here at all, though when Ireland were in the World Cup it seemed to generate a bit of interest.

I love cricket, even the test matches I like, none of my mates do though which is a shame. Used to like rugby too until England started doing rubbish.

I wasn't one of those fans that was interested in rugby only when England won the world cup either. I just lost complete interest when the likes of Martin Johnson and Neil Back retired. Me and my mate were trying to name the whole England team that won the world cup in the pub last week, we were there for ages.

Andrew Murray has backed out of Wimbledon through injury. That'll cut a lot of Interest then.
