I'll just copy and paste what I said from lostie as I'm feeling a bit lazy Laughing

I really liked the episode it was really dark and intense.

Things I liked:

- I think thats the most emotional and heated up we've ever seen of Sawyer. I have to say that was great acting from Josh Holloway in those Sawyer/Cooper scenes. At first I didn't want him to kill cooper but he sooo deserved it.

- The on Island flashbacks worked really well. I liked seeing Cindy again as well as Tom, Richard and of course Ben. There seems to be some friction between the others and their feelings seem divided which makes things interesting for the future.

- I'm glad Naomi told us more about whats going on and that Sayid made an appearence, I missed him.

- Sets things up well for next week. People will find out that Julliet is a mole and hopefully we'll know what Jack & Julliet should tell Kate. I'm of the opinion that Julliet is now in fact a triple crosser and is fact on the lostie side (or Jack's side) but things are gonna be heated. It'll be interesting to see how Sawyer copes with himself after this eppy too.

-It seems the majority of the camp distrusts Jack and if he carries on the way he has been then Kate will distrust him too, which is a good thing.

- Kate looked hot (I had to add that)

Things I didn't like:

- What the hell was up with the beginning it seemed like there was a lot cut off. Like why Sawyer and Kate were getting hot and heavy after their issues about it last time and how Hurley's group just being there without anyone realising.

- What was up with Kate blabbing to Jack about Naomi? there was no point to that it didn't make sense. Just why are the producers changing Kate? she just doesn't seem to be the same person anymore and its really concerning.

- Its a bit dissapointing that Sun went missing in a episode just after her own one.

thank you so much for not blaming locke for sawyer's actions... so many of the sawyer lovers are doing that... as it turned out, locke needed someone to save him emotionally... sawyer, by killing cooper, saved locke...
i googled 'naomi doritt' and got the dickinson novel 'little dorritt'... didn't have time to read much of it but it does talk about 'where are we?'... worth the check in wikipedia!

locke always gets the best epis!

I hate Jack, I hate Locke and I hate Kate. Very Happy Locke, because I always hate Locke, why does he never ask the right questions?!! Grr! Jack because he's such a smug-faced eeeevil git! And Kate because why did she have to go blabbing to Jack for? And why does she have to do what he says?!

Anyway, apart from all the hate, I actually quite liked this ep. Like that Charlie and Hurley chose Sayid over Jack in who they trust. Good. Sawyer was pretty good in this ep, well acted by Josh methinks.

Why does Ben want Locke to kill his dad for? Surely a good person is someone who is unable to kill? Not someone who can kill? I dunno. Anyway, I'm sorta rambling now so I'll shut up.

i don't think there is a diversion within the others - meaning that i think Richard was under Ben's orders to tell Locke what he did to try and convince Locke to kill his dad

good ep i thought!

Also, I hope that somebody bitch-slaps Juliet cos she is also a smug-faced eeeevil git. In fact, her and Jack are perfect for each other!

I actually think Jack knows that Julliet is a mole and Julliet is actually a triple crosser who's working with him. If thats the case though I hope he doesn't use the whole "for the good of the camp" nonsense he always comes up with, would love to see someone punch him in the face especially Kate.

She wouldn't though because the producers are stupidly making her look like his lapdog. The only one on the beach who's actually punched Jack as far as I know is Julliet. . .now thats just not good enough!

I actually don't care who punches him. So long as somebody does. And soon.

Right, my thoughts...

I'm suffering from major Kate-rage.

I love Kate, she's my favourite female character, but as I've been saying for so long I hate how she is around Jack. The way she was at the start of the episode made me wonder about her feelings for Sawyer, I have to admit I think she's still very confused, but when she went and told Jack - and Juliet - everything - I wanted to hit her, I really just wanted to get a good hard punch in. I am so angry with her for that, if Jack said he was with Juliet which he clearly did, she should have just said that the camp doesn't trust you because of her and leave it at that. By disclosing the Sat phone when she herself doesn't trust Juliet just to make a point to Jack....A lot of Charlie fans have been complaining about the way his character has been going this season, this episode shows everything that has gone wrong with Kate in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I'm angry with her but I hate Jack more now than ever, he was horrible.

Regards the rest of the episode, I loved it, I was glued to the screen the entire time. Regards the Locke - Sawyer thing, as far as I'm concerned they both got something out of it. Sawyer was given the opportunity to kill the man he has spent his life searching for with that exact purpose in mind, and Locke gets to go back to the others and from what Richard was saying, possibly challenge Ben for the leadership in time anyway. They both lost but they both gained.

I liked Sawyer in this episode, regards Cooper I was yelling at the screen for first Locke and then Sawyer to kill him (maybe that's just some of my own issues coming out Laughing ) but I'm glad he died, he deserved it, possibly more coming from Sawyer than Locke as it had been something he'd always wanted to do, while Locke was never going to be able to kill.

We learned a lot about the Others, that there are divisions in camp, that Ben is very much focussed on the fertility aspect while others are more interested in the healing properties of the island. We also know that they do have detailed files on everyone, and from that I think they must know things like Jack and Claire being brother and sister.

As for the revelation that Cooper was original Sawyer, we all speculated about it for a long time so anyone who says that Lost is not giving us answers is off their heads. We've learned a lot this season ,it's just that there are more questions, but that is the best thing about Lost, and the preview for next week suggests we'll be getting a lot more answers.

Regards Juliet - interesting theory that she's a triple crosser Xarca, and that Jack knows it - but again, the fact he isn't telling Kate or Sayid or anyone else that is obviously trustworthy just makes me hate him all the more.

I wonder what Rousseau wants the dynamite for? has she been following the trail that Ben said would be easy for Locke to follow? has she got plans for the Others camp? That might prove important in the future.

I think a big theme of the episode was where the last one left off, to go back to the idea that they're all dead and are in hell. (or purgatory, whatever). It's strange considering it's been confirmed that this is not the case, but I think it can all be explained - as i said in last week's discussion thread I think that the plane being found is a conspiracy, and as for Cooper saying he think he died and went to hell, because he knew about the plane crash and the plane being found we know he was brought to the island after Oceanic 815 crashed, and therefore after the Others knew he was an important player in the lives of both John Locke and Sawyer. I don't buy Ben's "You brought him to the island in the metaphorical magic box John" thing.

Three days till the raid to take the pregnant women but now Sawyer knows about it and has proof of Juliet's duplicity...I can't wait till next week!

In general, didn't think there was enough Hurley, Desmond, Sun&Jin after they were very important for the last few episodes, good to see at least a bit of Sayid though Very Happy

Those are my main thoughts for now and I'm just realising how long this post is....

Blimey! Relax AR you'll hurt your fingers typing that much Laughing

Great review and as much as it hurts me I agree about Kate, her character has gone downhill ever since she decided to rescue Jack. I blame the producers for making her look so pathetic around Jack, she needs to redeem herself by punching Jack or just by shooting him in rage. Very Happy

It would be awesome if Kate decks Jack in frnot of everyone else - be even better if he cries, heh heh

It frustrates me that Kate, who was a really good, strong character just turns into this pathetic, hair twiddling pouty damsel every time Jack's about lately, no matter how badly he treats her. It's so bloody lame!!

I'd be happier with shooting than punching, but I'd take punching...that is exactly what annoys me about Kate and why i can't stand them as a couple, she is weak around him, and considering she's never let a man tell her what to do her whole life why start with a **** like jack?

Oh and yes Xarca, the fingers do hurt but i had to get if off my chest!!! Laughing
