Yep, he sounds like a proper London boy - so does Mr Eko! I much prefer Sayid's Iraqi accent!

so do i - I 've avoided the behind the scenes stuff on the dvd's as hearing them talk in their real accents kills the magic of it for me!

I already know enough behind the scenes stuff to last me a lifetime I think, i don't want to know any more, otherwise I find it hard to see the fiction reality without imagining angles and lights and shots and stuff.

He has a great Cockney London accent it suprised me how different his voice on the show is to real surprising how you can change your voice like that

Sign of a good actor that he can keep it going all the time - So often we get films filled with American actors doing terrible Irish and English accents, that change all the way through. it's annoying. At least Lost gets professionals to do a good job.

i agree he does a really good job of keeping that accent going on the show i would be completely hopeless at doing an accent constantly - but then i'm not an actress lol

well that's the beauty of television - unlike on stage they can always do the scene again!

This isn't the first time Naveen has acted with that accent so I think he's very comfortable portraying the role of Sayed. He was in The English Patient with the same accent (though he was playing a gentleman of East Indian descent)
