Used to play Cricket a couple of years ago and for my school team, batted in the top four and occassionly bowled at medium pace. Was quite good at it before I needed myself a replacement bat and I gradually lost interest for some reason.

I always watch England play on the TV but never seen them live. Since I live in the northeast I sometimes get to see Durham play at the riverside. May sound obvious but my favourite player at the moment is Kevin Pieterson, I just love how he winds the other team up everytime and he has the ability to match it.

I probably watch cricket on tv more than I think, but still prefer playing it - especially bowling, i like that!

I'm pretty dangerous throwing balls at people so its better I can bat instead. I'd probably be rubbish now, but I still practice strokes at times with my bat.

I tried batting and thought I was really good until I batted against a proper bowler - can't see the ball never mind hit it!!

Laughing Its a lot harder then it is on screen isin't it? You have to watch the ball really hard.

Fortunately I used to come into bat against some really slow bowlers. Its really unlikely that you'll play a spinner that can actually spin a ball so as long as you keep your eye on the ball at all times you wouldn't face much of a problem with them.

yeah, unfortuantly for me though my cousin was a speedy bowler (still is) so I didn't really stand much of a chance at hitting it! (I'll leave it to bowling!)

Laughing Yeah bowling does seem easier than fielding or batting.

Used to love it at school when they bowled underarm in PE Laughing

Awww how mean!

We used to play it in the school carpark, used to cringe everytime the ball went towards a car. Laughing

Thats the same as mine had. We used to have to take it in turns to climb onto the roof to get a football or cricket ball (soft ball).

Laughing Yeah, only used a proper cricket ball when playing in a park game. If we used ones at school they'd be a lot of injuries and things broken and I'm not just talking about windows.

Ha ha! Yeah it was similar with my family and football when I was younger, they pretended not to be interested in the game then they all gang up and begin to sliding tackle me and the rest I'd be playing with.
